Referral card timing?

I just went on dvcmember and saw that my friend did sign the papers and my "gift" was waiting to be chosen...10 days ago! I put in what I wanted...and hit submit. Question...I can't remember how long it takes to get the gift card. I know it says 7 weeks but I know I got it sooner last year. I leave for WDW on Sunday...wish I could have it for them BUT the bigger problem is that it needs to be signed for. Didn't think to change the address it was being sent to until I hit submit.

Any chance of getting it this week? Or will it just sit at Fedex for a few weeks until I return?

I suppose that anything is possible, but I get the feeling that they bothered to list 7 weeks for a reason.

Sadly, none of my referrals have joined yet. Well, except one and for some reason I didn't get credit for it.

We ordered a gift card for a referral recently, and it seems like it was about 6-7 weeks.

I can't speak to how long it will take your gift card to arrive, and don't mean to panic you further, but FedEx won't hold a package that long. They'll make three delivery attempts on three consecutive days. If they can't deliver after the 3rd attempt, they'll contact the shipper (DVC) for disposition instructions, which would probably be to return the package.

If you're concerned it will show up while you're away, you should ask a neighbor to check your front door every few days for a door tag.
