Reese's Pieces makes a wish pre-trip report

What an adorable and strong little girl. I love your creativity with the Monsters Inc smoothies; such an excellent idea.

My thoughts are with you, Reese, and your entire family.

Glad your able to enjoy the weather. Hope you hear from MAW soon. She is adorable.

So Reese needs to be wrapped in bubble wrap.

This Saturday, she was walking. (Not running!) And she tripped and fell. She used her hands to break her fall, which is normal. However, she lifted her hands too early and face planted on the wood floor and knocked her front teeth loose. So in addition to everything else, we had to go to the dentist for X-rays and now she is on a softer food diet for the next two weeks!

Our life is NEVER boring.

Tomorrow we head to CHOP for chemo. Hopefully her numbers are good that we can start this week. Her ANC has to be 750. Last week it was 660. I wish there was a way to know her numbers before we make the trip.

Here is a picture from the egg hunt this weekend:

I got a call from MAW, she is tentatively approved for the wish. We don't have dates or anything like that. They will get the doctors clearance for her to go a few weeks before the trip.

We are so excited!

Aww... Poor Reese... I bet that really hurt.

Glad to hear that you are starting chemo this week.

Yay for hearing back from MAW!!!!

((( Hugs)))

I'm sorry to hear she managed to loosen those front teeth! I'm sure that hurt! As if she doesn't have enough to deal with. Poor kid! Love seeing her with her Easter basket! :lovestruc

Well Reese easily adapted back to the "new normal" routine. Everyone is disbelieving of me when I say that you would NEVER know Reese was going through weekly chemo (and sometimes daily) if she didn't lose her hair. Then they see her and realize I am completely right. She is seriously an energizer bunny and as of right now, really hasn't had any side effects. (sometimes she complains that her belly hurts---but not much to stop running through the house for .5 seconds).

She seriously is on the go even the day after chemo. She is eating normally---eating her favorite foods, just REALLY really happy. She definitely is exhausting!

We had her joint family birthday party this weekend---we didn't want a birthday party at our house, and my niece turned one, so we had it at my brother in laws house--less germs (or at least less lingering germs--since we could go home.) She amazingly lasted throughout the party with no nap. She had a blast playing with the kids and running around outside. We tried to keep her outside in the fresh air as much as possible.

Here is a picture from the party.

I can't believe she will be 3 soon!

Such a sweet picture!! Glad she was able to celebrate!

Awww... Sounds like she had a good birthday!

I can't believe how much energy she has... This is good right?

And, as usual - she is so precious... I just love seeing pictures of her.

Sounds like she had a good birthday. Glad to hear that she doesn't have many side effect of the chemo.

Thank you! I can't believe she is going to be 3 next week! She has been through so much before her 3rd birthday, that I hope the rest of the year is semi peaceful. We bought her the Lego Cinderella castle, since she LOVS legos. (She has the Rapunzel creativity tower that she plays will all day long)

Glad to hear she's doing so well. Lego's are a hit here too!! Happy birthday Reese!!

It's been a while since I checked in, but was so glad to see all the photos. She is such a beautiful little girl! And glad MAW got back to you. That's awesome!

Sorry for the hospital stay, but glad she tolerated the last one well. And such energy during chemo is amazing! And a good appetite as well. That's fabulous!

I take it her birthday is sometime this week? Or next? If so, Happy Birthday to little Reese ahead of time. What a sweetie! And Mom, keep up the good work. You are amazing to be handling this with such grace. Bless you!

Happy Early Birthday Reese!!! party::bday:

When is her birthday? Sophie's is the 23rd.

I'm so glad to hear that she is doing so well with the chemo! That is such a blessing!!!

So we are back in the hospital. Reese was very lethargic this weekend. We took her to the clinic yesterday and she had slightly low hemoglobin and very low blood sugar. She also started with a fever. What a way to spend her birthday! Now we are just waiting for the doctors.
