Reese's Pieces makes a wish pre-trip report

I too am here from D~ report! This trip is going to be amazing! I am so happy she will be getting her wish!

We got the officially paperwork in the mail today. It is REALLY happening. I can't wait for next Tuesday when Reese will declare her wish.

Yay!!! SO excited that you've received the paperwork! I cannot wait to hear how it all goes, I will be following along from the road. Please keep us updated here, or send me a message on FB.

Well they came last night. We filled out a BUNCH of forms. They brought a bunch of things for Reese---Tinker bell wings and a Tinkerbell doll . We gave them our dates; they had us choose three different weeks. Hopefully we get the weeks that we chose. Our first two choices were the first or second week in December, third choice was the last week in January. We wanted to escape the heat due to her chemotherapy and just being uncomfortable.

They said that we probably won't hear back for a few weeks to see if our wish is tentatively approved--and then they submit everything to the doctor. Hopefully we will hear about our dates sooner than later, so that we can start to plan for meals and everything.

I am just starting to try to figure out what we want to focus on/do there. There are some things that are a given. (eating at Cinderella's Castle, Toy Story Mania and meeting the characters, Peter Pan's flight and meeting the fairies, dinosaur area at Island of Adventure, etc)

I tried to talk Sophie into going while the Christmas decorations were up, but she's having none of that. She's thinking ASAP.

Because of her age she has no concept of time. Everything that happened in the past is "yesterday." (even if it happened a month ago.) She does have an amazing memory though, she can remember gifts that people got her that she is close to, from the summer. She will come up to me with a 3 dollar trinket and be like "grandma bought that/uncle/grandpa bought that" Anyway, she thought that we were heading to Disney last night She was a little disappointed....

Lol, bless her heart! I can imagine if that was what she was thinking, that might have been a bit of a let down. Need a tee shirt that reads: I THOUGHT I was going to WDW tonight and all I got were these lousy wings. Too sweet! I miss stuff like that from when my girls were little! I can see how she might have thought that. Mine certainly would have at the same age. Reece certainly sounds very smart, remembering who gave her what with that much detail.

In my very humble opinion...the first week of December is the BEST time to go. Crowds are pretty low and the Christmas decorations are up. We also like January and February as well!

I don't think you could go wrong with ANT of those dates!

Some of her favorite things to watch on TV are the 1940s version of 3 Little Pigs, Mary Poppins and Wizard of Oz.
