Red Robin

Anybody ever try them? Are they good? We have one about a 20 minute drive from us that I've been dying to try.

They started in Seattle, so I've been to the original many, many times. In Washington, I love them. Here in Arizona, the service has been mostly miss, but the food is still good. I usually get the teriyaki chicken burger. When the fries are good, they are Really Good. You get free refills on the fries.

There are many of them in this area (they started here in the Seattle area) and we really enjoy going there.

IMO they have better than average food (obviously not great or gourmet) yet the only charge average prices (other places charge more for pretty much the same thing).

I'm actually kind of suprised they are becoming a national chain.

We go there 3-4 times a month.

The fries are "bottomless"...all you can eat.
The kids love them.

There is one attached to our local mall & I have about a year's supply of "Free Kids Meal" coupons, which is one reason why we go often.

We've had two good experiences and two bad experiences there. We can't seem to get a majority going either way, so I guess we'll have to go back one more time.

Funny how different areas consider prices. I like Red Robin but in our are (Texas) they are considered pretty pricey for what it is. If I want a good burger and fries I can go to a local place for a better burger at 1/2 the price.

We do go there, heck, a guy in a Robin suit, balloons and a full bar, what more does a parent need for a good night out with the family? But I consider them above average in prices for average food.

We got one in Plymouth, MA in the past year. I like going there when I want a burger or chicken burger (as they call it). I am a fried chicken sandwich fanatic, those are very yummy. You can get the grilled chicken done with the same toppings as burgers, just ask.

They make really good shakes also. The one from Christmas was a gingersnap (w/alcohol). Yummy!!! I would try it out if I were you, I am glad we did.

We went the other day. Dh and I each got a burger with onion rings (a 99 cent upgrade for each) and a kid sized shake. Dh got a diet coke too. Our total, pre-tip was $29. So a bit on the pricier side for a burger meal. Although their burgers are good.

We used to the go the one at the Glendale Galleria on Fridays for two-hour lunches..... I love the Clucks and Fries. I haven't found chicken strips that I like better anywhere else.

Around here Red Robin charges the same price for their burgers as other places like TGI Fridays. Compared to a place like that I actually find Red Robin cheaper.

It's entirely possible that other areas serve less for the same kind of full service/non-fast food burger and Red Robin has kept their higher Seattle prices.

And I'm still shocked they have spread this far. Not the kind of place I would think would be national chain material. They certianly don't have anything I would call uinique. I can still remember there only being three in this area. Now there are at least ten or more and we have been to most of them.

We really like Red Robin for the family. We went the other day. Two adult meals and two kids meals. I had water, DH had freckled lemonade and think it was a little over $30 for the four of us. Love the fries!!

Ruby's is a different chain. We have those here as well. Ruby's is a little cheaper, but not by much. At least not here.

IMO Ruby's started off well but went down hill fast. I also never saw them having bottomless fries.

The one here is a little pricier than say TGIF and places like that. I had a burger and diet soda, two kids meals & kids drinks and two kids sundes and the tap with tip was close to $30!

The burgers are pretty big and sloppy (good if you're me. My folks are pretty common...they don't like it). I like the chicken sandwich. DD only eats a FRACTION of hers -- the kids' meals are big for a little one, and I can get her a salad over French fries. It's tasty. I like it.

On the downside, they serve meals in these TINY red plastic baskets lined with paper, which only enhances the mess. A platter would be better. There's no room for ketchup for the fries!

I am in MA. There is one in Millbury, MA not to far from my home. THAT IS IT FOR THE STATE OF MA. Yes, Red Robin is so new to the Northeast. I believe there is one opening or may have opened on the Cape.

Sooo, with this being the only one open in MA., it is PACKED PACKED PACKED allll of the time. Long waits for meals ever time I have been there.

I really like Red Robin. I love their crispy chicken salad. And yes the fries are bottomless.

I actually went to my FIRST DIS meet at this Red Robin and DISer's came from CT, RI and as well MA to meet here. It is a very popular restaurant.

We like it. Its a little loud though - not good for a romantic dinner. It is a hit with the teenagers also (I guess because its affordable).
