Red envelope arrives!

Well it's all happening.... Got our red envelope from virgin through the post today. We also customised our magic bands and have booked some fastpass's. Feels weird doing it so early, so we've just done a couple of headliner attractions for each park were going to be in.

Going to be a weird experience this year, but looking forward to trying something different!!

I've gone red (Liverpool fan) and the wife's gone blue. But she's toying with the grey as she thinks the little additions you can buy to clip on will stand out more!
That was our theory with fastpass+. Book some now as backups so we don't get stuck without on the day, but take our phones and (attempt to) use wifi on the day so if we fancy something different we hopefully can. We usually do the parks first thing and leave at lunchtime anyway so can hopefully avoid the need for too many fast passes.
All very exciting/confusing at the mo... But defo excited now we an see it all!

Hi great news, mine also arrived today (although had already received it a few weeks ago!). can I just ask if you had to apply to qualify for the magic bands trial or were you selected? Thanks

Guess we were selected. It just appeared on the my disney experience app. The option to customise the bands and prebook our fastpasses!

And that leads me onto another questiondid you book direct through wdw? We did so don't have our actual tickets, just confirmation with our package today. I'm trying to link my tickets on the my experience app and wdw website but as I don't have park tickets yet, and won't get them until I check in, I can't access the number on the back. The 'will call' option wants something that starts with 4 letters. In short (sorry) what did you use for this/how do I find this out? Sorry if I've totally confused you thanks

No problem! We actually booked through virgin so don't have access to out tickets either, they'll be there at the yacht club when we arrive. And on the my disney experience app we can't link our tickets either. We can see our hotel booking, make dining reservations, fast pass reservations, and customise our magic bands, just can't link our park tickets! I assume as we will get magic bands we won't even have a ticket.

Fab that answers both questions-firstly I'm not being daft and missing the obvious and secondly we've not been selected for the trial.

Think we're there around the same time so if you see a family of 4 with the mum (me) wearing a big 40 badge and walking with a slight limp (just broken my toe) do wave
