RED ALERT: How to gain 6lbs in 4 DAYS (with Pics)!!

Great report, thanks for sharing!

Hope you go back soon and post another review because you're my kind of WDW-goer. ;) I need to learn some planning tips from you, seriously! Sugar, sugar, sugar, whoo-hoo! :yay: I like sweets on vacation, in case you can't tell! :rotfl:

Also, I can totally understand that about spoiling your little girl. Seems totally understandable to me. And besides, vacation = as much yummy food as you can handle. Or so I tell myself anyway... ;)
Thank you so much for the compliment. That really means a lot to me that others...LOVE TO EAT!!

I will be going back in June and September of this year. So you know I will start with all of the ADR's and reading the menus. GARWSH...I'm sooo greedy.

I always have people ask me why I take her to Disney and I just don't respond now because I take it really personal. Some people just don't get it. I am so thankful that my parent "got" it. They started this obsession and now they just laugh and smile. Heck, they went with us on Madi's first trip last May. :yay:

Hi Dawn,

I know where Jefferson is gurllll! It is right outside of Barrow County. Small world, hunh???

yep! i'm surprised you know where i am. usually when people ask me where i'm from i just say "athens." but then i think about that and have to add, "but don't hold it against me." :rotfl2: i'm actually a court reporter in barrow county! well, barrow, jackson and banks counties, to be exact.

I almost spit out my water. You remembered BBD...90's baby gurlll! Hehehe

you know it! i graduated from high school in '94 so i was all about BBD in like the 9th grade! :rotfl: i'm serious when i say that my goal in life when i was 14 was to be a fly girl on "in living colour."

Let me tell you a little secret...I grew up in Barrow County! When I went off to college back in 95, I just never went back. Not really a small town girl. I had dreams to be a flygirl too with J-Lo, back when she was known as J-_o! You fill in the blank. :lmao: I also wanted to meet one of the Wayan Bros and marry Damion. And then I use to live in this Miami Vice fantasy about Tubbs (Phillip Michael Thomas), too. I wanted him too. :woohoo: BIG THANGS POPPIN...Oh and I wanted to be the first black girlfriend of Jon Bon Jovi..."I want to lay you down on a bed of roses, for tonite I sleep on a bed of nails. I want to be as close as the holy ghost is, and lay you down on a bed of roses!!" Don't get me started gurll...I am an avid fan of VH1's Rock of Love...Hot darnit.

:lmao: THAT'S HILARIOUS!!!!!! every time i'm watching "rock of love" and ray (my DH) walks in the room, he just looks at me like i'm crazy and i'm always like, "it's like a train wreck....i can't look away!"

i actually grew up in nashville and moved to gainesville in '97, then we bought a house in jefferson in 2004. it's very small but i love it here.....quiet and laid back. the school system is AWESOME too if we ever have kids. i used to work in atlanta when i first started court reporting and now that i'm up here i love it! i hated driving into atlanta all the time.....:scared1: i still have to do it every now and then but usually only about twice a month for a deposition or something. we should get together for lunch or something sometime when i'm in atlanta! PM me if you're interested. if you're not i won't be offended. but i promise i'm not some crazy lime-green-croc-wearing disney stalker!

Your cakes looked awesome! And it was so nice when you gave the rest of it to mousekeeping.

I've actually never eaten at Ohanas, but I don't think I ever will. I've heard nothing good about it.

And I'm one of the people that didn't like Kona either! I couldn't even eat my meal it was so bad. :(

SO, where are WE eating in September?!?

OMG, I think I gained 6lbs just from READING your reviews :rotfl2:

Those cakes look wonderful - thanks so much for your reviews. Sorry that Kona disappointed you but it sounds as though you had some wonderful dining experiences - and you have another two trips planned as well. That's great!

What a wonderful report. Thank you so much for sharing. Those cakes were amazing! I am in the process of ordering ours for our October trip (see ticker). Kinda a big year all around!

Hey Girl:yay:

Great food report. I dont know if I can keep up with you guys if I could down in June. However, June is looking good right about now LOL! Now I am all for the sweets. I am a snacker.

Now since you are finished on this board. When are you going to start the trip reportpopcorn:: . You are in the Atlanta area. Soooo, dont make me come to your house and force you to type:snooty: .

Great reviews fellow Georgia girl. We live about an hour north of you. Your little girl is to cute, our daughter turned 1 Nov 29th, her name is Madison also but we call her Gracie. We used to love Kona but our last few visits have been less than impressive and we have crossed it off our list as well. Great cake, did you order from the GF bakery? Would you mind sharing cost? We are tentatively planning a trip in April for our oldest dd's 3rd b-day. Thanks!

Now, before I get flamed about having cake at breakfast, let me give you a little history. My DD is probably considered "spoiled" to others b/c they have told me so, but she is our miracle baby b/c I always went through my twenties being told that I would probably NEVER conceive so I always said I did not want any children. So when we found out we were pregnant, we were so happy and NERVOUS throughout the pregnancy (she even made us wait and came at 42wks). I never thought I could love another individual (beside DH), the way I love this little angel. My DH and I have always been the ones who were last to get married, have a baby, home, etc. in our group of college buddies. We were put together ya'll by a higher power. The good Lawd knew what we needed. Okay, off my soap box and on to the goodies. Yes, this was Madi's second 1st b-day party (other one at Children's Museum)!

The Madhatter came over and he stayed about 20 mins no lie. He asked if Madi was scared of loud noises and I said, "I am her momma right??" and he laughed and started yelling for the whole restaurant to be quiet and to sing happy birthday for Madi. She was so delighted!! I cried!! DH was smiling and just looking at me!

OMG, I have tears in my eyes. Great pics!! Your DD is adorable and the cake is gorgeous. I would've done the same thing if we were to celebrate our DS's birthdays in Disney too.

Petey Pablo Papi,

Hey Baby boi!! I am such a lady! Yes, we gave it to housekeeping. I actually sat down and had a 20 min conversation with one gentleman in mousekeeping. He was telling me about his family and I just loved it! Don't worry, he wasn't as cute as you my bud!

I'm glad to hear that I am not the only one who gained weight! :lmao: I was so sad about Kona. I just knew it was going to be a great experience. Who know's, we may try it again. Well, I would really have to convince DH.

Gurlll, you can hang with us. I hope you can do the extended weekend trip with us. I will be making ressies next week, too. I am going to be honest about something. I KNOW I am not going to do a trip report. I apologize. Maybe I can do a pre-trip Report for June and maybe I will have Petey Pablo Papi start one for the Sept trip. :dance3:

Thank you so much my fellow GA Peach! I love the name Gracie!!! I did order both cakes from GF Bakery. DH's cake $70 and DD's cake $125. Why don't you celebrate her b-day at 1900 Park Fare. Now the restaurant was busy but they really paid attention to detail and made it about Madi.

Hey!!! Thank you so much. We may forego a big party here this year and maybe do cake and icecream for family and do a weekend trip to celebrate her birthday. It was so much fun!!!

Great job!!! Who wouldn't spoil that little princess??????? We have knocked KONA off of our list. We weren't all that impressed last year so we gave them another chance this year.....terrible.:sad2:

You know a new season of Rock of Love is coming on soon?? I will be :happytv: !!!

i know!!! i thought it was hilarious that that chick with pink hair (i can't remember her name) told him she didn't think it was going to work. he should've known to pick heather. she showed him her "girls" within 5 minutes of meeting him. DUH! :rotfl:

Ahhhhh...Thank you! Well I am so glad that we were not the only ones who felt this way. The waitress did not make it any better. Don't get me wrong, she was nice but she pushed us in and right out!

I absolutely  Heather. She was so real to me. I was upset that he didn't pick her too. I am in the process of pm'ing you back!!:yay:

It can't be over!!! I just loved your food reviews! Wicked funny!
I hope you write a trip report!
Thanks for taking the time to post pictures too. I'll definitely be tryin' Earl of Sandwich this summer!

hey I say let your DD eat cake! If you don't spoil her than who will? I showed my 12 yr old DD the pics and she wants me to order one like it for her when we go in Sept. Great food trip report and hope to see more with your following trips. Not all the WDW restaurants live up to their hype but overall we had some good ADR's this past Sept. You prob already know of all the places we went too but if you want any reviews on these just let me know:

Chef Mickey's
Crystal Palace
Coral Reef
Sci Fi Drive In
Concourse Steakhouse
Boma
Wolfgang Puck's

Enjoyed your reviews. :woohoo: Ready for another round of free dining (hopefully) in Sept myself.
