Ooo the footwear issue is always a dilhemma for me too! I am a flip flop wearer but I know that is not comfy for most people, so I'd say if the mary jane crocs worked last time, go with those again!

I'm glad you and your mom and sis are finally getting the plans ironed out! The photoshoot sounds like such a great idea. Basic black is a good choice We didn't get the photopass this past trip, we had the exact same idea as you, we just got the card and had the photographer take one with our own camera too. That way we got great pics on our own camera and had some photopass ones to choose from, we just bought a couple. It's a great moneysaver!

Wow, I remember when you started your PTR and worried it was too far off and now here we are! Makes me excited that our Christmas trip will be here before we know it too. We did photopass before the prices went up and thought it was soo worth the money then although it was definitely not professional quality. We did get some great shots with all of us.

Yes, Disney Visa Rewards card can be used just like a credit or debit card. I recently heard that the new T-Rex restaurant accepts it. I am excited about this since the T-Rex is not on the dining plan. I think we'll use our reward $ at that restaurant.

I was on a Photopass Share gone bad so I too will be the photog of the trip.

As for shoes - do you have any Keen's?

They are awesome and I swear I don't work for them but everytime someone asks I just have to answer!

I just bought a new pair because the ones I already had were the Newport leather. They don't do too well wet.

I also like these better because they don't have the black toe and bottom.

They are a great on the go shoe and good for crowds where you don't want your piggies run over or stomped on

Your plans are looking really good! I think the Photopass session will be a fun time with you three and will give your Mom just what she wants. That's a great cost for the package since you don't need the Photopass CD as well!

I'm glad to hear you got the stuff with Boston figured out too - it's always so nice to get those little details set and squared away. We just spoke about all our "how do we get to the airport?" details this morning.

Things are slowly but surely coming together....I just have to learn to be patient!! LOL!! It's hard to be a control freak and patient at the same time! But I'm happy with how things are shaping up, I just have to remember that this trip will be so different from the last couple for me....and I"ll be fine!! Can't wait to hear your airport details, hope you update soon! hint, hint!! LOL!!

I've used a Disney Reward Card many times and it is quite easy and just like using a Debit Card. You can use it at an ice cream stand, for tips for dinner, for merchanise, whatever. On the receipt it will tell you how many reward dollars you have left after the purchase which is nice too. We have about $40to use this trip.

And yeah on figuring out your transportation to the airport logistics. Nice to have that all set!

On the shoes, I have a pair of Sketcher flip flops I love, sturdier than say a flimsy flip flop (say that 5 times fast!). And I am a Croc girl. However those Keens are looking mighty cute!

Thanks Allyson, the reward card seems too easy! Works for me!! I didn't know if there were stipulations with it or if it was what it was. Yay, sounds like it will work out just fine for the trip!! Btw, have you ever done the Disney Visa photo ops in the parks? Are they any good?

Going to check out Sketcher flip flops, I'm a flip flop girl, too and live in them here at home but noticed my cheapy one from ON are killing me. My right ankle hasn't been right since we were at the musuem last weekend.

I'm loving my shake n' bake Montrail Flip Flops. They are so comfortable! I had a bunch of stuff to do on Saturday and I wore them all day long running around and my feet didn't hurt one bit by the end of the day.

If your Mary Jane Crocs worked, I'd suggest getting another pair. I think mine hurt my feet so bad because I had been wearing them so much and they were worn down and not as supportive.

I am also wondering about shoes for my trip. I got a pair of Teva mushie flip flops I like a lot. Just wore them all around Seattle - including a walking tour and they were very comfy!

Disney rewards card couldn't be easier. You can use it anywhere and as Allison said you can keep track of the balance with the update at the bottom of the receipt. Nothing is better than "free" money!!

The resort photoshoot sounds fun. What a great momento of the trip that you'll all have!

Hi Christine! I have a pair of Mushies and like them too but sometimes they rub me the wrong way,so not sure I could do them all day,but would be good to take with me to switch things up a little. Can you see it now...Im' going to have a suitcase with just shoes!! lol....POP rooms are pretty small..Mom and Jodi will kill me!! LOL!!

I know, can you believe it?! You're so right, I was concerned about starting too soon and here we are....38 more days!! WOW! Time is flying by and will only go quicker now that school starts 9/1 and all that prep time! Your December trip will be here before we know it, too! I can't wait to hear all about it, that was my fav trip so far. That time of year is just amazing!!

So this update will be a little of this and a little of that....I'll apologize now if I'm all over the place!!

First, my most exciting news for you!! I was asked by one of my good DIS friends to join their Photopass share!! Christine (2xcited2sleep) was SO sweet and VERY generous to add my family to their photopass group. We are SO excited and so very appreciative of this offer from her (and the rest of her group, too!). We are so excited to have this to document our trip and as a part of accepting Christines offer, I've promised a trip full of pics and a TR when I get home!! It's a deal!!

And while I'm speaking about that, I just has to say, I've met so many wonderful people here on DIS that I am so proud to call my friends, so thank you, each and everyone one of you, for being a part of my special trip, sharing my memories with me and my life with me!! It really makes Disney that more magical for me!

I ran to Target yesterday and picked up a few things to get me started on what I need to pack...it's that time, you know? Here is a picture to update you with:

After Cole's nap yesterday we ran to Dick's Sporting Goods to look for some new Crocs for me, and possibily for the boys for school ( I want to get them the Red Sox ones), their Mickey ones are so worn out, but they lasted a long time. I had no luck there and since it was SO HOT and HUMID yesterday and the kids were cranky and we don't have central air, we decided on a a road trip. We headed to South Shore Plaza Mall, about 1/2 hour from home, since they have a Crocs kiosk and was sure I'd find what I"m looking for there. NO LUCK again!! But it wasnt' a lost trip, we made a quick stop into the Disney store just for the fun of it. Cole got some new Mickey sneaks for Fall, aren't they cute?!!

Well on the way home, I made one last effort to check one more store and ended up at Sports Authority, and score! I found some new brown mary jane crocs for $14.97! And these for the same price!!

They are so comfy!! But I still wasn't convinced I was done shoe wise, that I needed something more, so today, after much convincing and promising Todd that I wouldn't buy black sandals again for years (yes, years!!), I got these...they have a good write up, they are cute and supposively VERY COMFY for walking, they better be!! They are by Chaco:

I know, what was I thinking about committing to not buy black sandals for years!?! But I had to do what I had to do for the moment!! I've never spent that much on pretty much any shoe, but I have heard great things, they last forever and are great for walking....so they better be!!! Or I'm in trouble!!

I need to make more of a list for the trip....I just went down the travel aisle at Target and grabbed those things....but can think of some more....we're getting down there....and it's always so much fun shopping for the little things.... it makes it feel that much closer!!

Hi MeMom!! I've missed you!! Glad you're home and back to DIS....although I'm sure you'd rather be back in WDW right about now!! Keeping up with PTR/TR reports is a lot of work..but it's worth it, it's my happy place, when I can't be at the real place!!

Cole wore his Mickey Sneakers yesterday, he was so excited!! They light up and I taught him to stomp his foot so he could see it...so he was stomping all over the driveway showing all the neighborhood kids his new shoes. It was cute! Hope those light ups have a lot of battery in them!!! Cause Cole really likes them!!

I bought the Target brand ones, so hopefully they work, if you buy them Belle will be fine, kind of like an insurance policy, you know? And I hear you about drama, even though I have three boys..WOW!! My fav saying is "Who needs a daughter when you have drama queens for sons".....I"m serious....I understand!! LOL!!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far, it's BEAUTIFUL here in MA and we're heading to the Cape to my parents to enjoy some boat/beach time!! I can't wait!!!

But I had to tell you all...I did it, I passed my MA Real Estate exam...I'm now a MA Real Estate Agent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so proud of myself, it took a lot of work but it was all worth it now!!! So thanks for all your kind words and luck you sent my way...I needed it!!
