Just for the sake of scientific curiosity, and not, I emphasize, because I am cheap, I tried non-grom gelato. I felt it was my obligation.

It wasnt bad, it was cold food on a hot afternoon, but it was just tasteless. The chocolate was indistinguishable from the coffee "flavored" gelato.
