Our two favorites are Crystal Palace and Trails End. When going to Trails End, we go to MK and then take the boat over to Fort Wilderness. The kids enjoy that as much as the breakfast. Its a simple buffet, good food, and we have always had friendly CMs wait on us. I think its a hidden jewel
Last year we ate breakfast at Kona, CP, 1900 Park Fare, Cape May, and WCC. This year we are eating at CP, 1900 Park Fare, Boma, and 'Ohana. The breakfast lasagna simply fabulous. It does not have meat or cheese in it. It is a fruit and pancake/french toast concoction. The recipe is on either disboards or allearsnet.com websites. You may want to look at that to see specific ingredients. 1900 Park Fare has a chilled strawberry soup which is to die for. Cape May has quite a varied selection on their buffet. All three of these restaurants are character buffets. Kona is a more traditional restaurant without a set menu. WCC has an all-you-can eat skillet and a menu to order off of. Neither Kona nor WCC has characters. I am trying Boma and 'Ohana per reviews. Both are buffets but 'Ohana is a character family style meal whereas Boma is a more traditional style buffet. Do not let the word buffet discourage you. WDW buffets are tended to and replenished often. Food items are fresh and not sitting under a heating element for a couple of hours before staff decides to throw it away-not very palatable.
