Recomendations for SD cards

Hi everyone,

Any suggestions for SD cards. I currently own 3 1GB SanDisk. I was thinking of getting the 2GB. Is there really a difference between ultra and regular? And do you think SanDisk is a good brand? I seem to like it but it's all i've ever had so I really can't compare. Thanks.

I have to say that I have noticed an increase in the speed in the time it takes to write to the disk and the time it takes to download since I bought the ultra from sandisk and noticed a huge increase in speed from the PNY disk to the sandisk ulta

You won't really notice the speed difference in the camera unless you use the continuous mode.

With a SanDisk UltraII (or faster card) the camera will be able to hit it's maximum speed of about 2.3fps and it will continue taking pictures at that speed until the card fills. On slower cards, you'll start to bog down as quickly as 10-12 pics!

Sometimes, on a slow card (I've heard, but never experienced) that a video clip will end before it reaches the 1G hardware limit because it can't write fast enough -- this *never* happens with a UltraII.

SD cards (even name brand ones like SanDisk) are so cheap, these days, it's a good idea to have as many as possible!!

A few days ago, I ordered a 2gb Ultra (not Sandisk Ultra) SD card from ZipZoomFly, total cost of $15 after rebate. It'll be my third Ultra 2gb card, so far the other two have worked well and were cheap. I'm more interested in price than the name on the front of the card.

Is SanDisk a good brand? That's the only one I've ever used. I just picked up another 1GB. And tomorow I think i'm going to get 2 of the 2GB ultras. Yikes my DH is going to kill me. Hey it's still cheaper then his new Harley payment .
