Recieved a Pin Code .... well, sorta ... I hope ...

I have a trip coming up in October, it is myself and my DGF. Now, my DGF says something in the mail came from Disney the other day and she finally got around to showing it to me yesterday and it was a Pin Code for % off room reservation. I have been hoping for a % off like this to come along and was thrilled it came. HOWEVER, the offer was addressed to her brother. Now the last name and address that it was mailed to is the exact same last name and address that is on our reservation for my DGF. What I am wondering is will we be able to apply this discount to our reservation because the last name and address are the same, even though it was mailed to her brother? I booked through AAA and I am going in next week to pay off the entire trip and would like to know ahead of time if I can use the discount.

I also got something from Disney with a code on it and it was addressed to my husband. We're also going in October, 16 - 24 and are booked with AAA as well! I talked to our agent, she took the code from me, it wasn't a problem. Only thing is everything is booked with that code! We're staying at POR and can't even use it there. I really don't understand how these things work, why send them out if everything is booked.

We had the same thing happen yesterday (received a pin at our home with a different family member's name on it) and two different CMs confirmed that the pin can be used as long as it was sent to the address where we reside. We were able to book and you also should be good to go!

That is good news! I am also booked at POR for October 18th-26, and have noticed that POR is booked up mostly for that time frame. Can this pin code be added to the reservation we already have without switching anything and not having to make a whole new reservation? The pin code is for a room-only discount and we already have a magic your way package booked.

Discounts are tied to a percentage of bookings. Each resort/room type has a percentage. If the number of bookings is above the line no discounts are available for that resort/room. If there are cancellations and it drops below the line, the the discount becomes available again. But if the resort is full, Then it's probably above the line. The fact that you hold a reservation doesn't matter (except to increase the number of bookings).
