Sugar Loaf is the light concierge offering, so you're correct that there is no alcohol served in that building. Before I get to the food, if you're used to the Poly's concierge lounge, the SugarLoaf is nothing like it. The building is still only accessible by using your room key and when you walk into the ground floor of the building, that's the concierge level. There seems to be a big lack of pictures, but if you go
here, click on the picture link on the right hand side of the page and take a look at #10. This will show you what a buildings interior lobby looks like. The round table shown is where the food setup is and off to the sides are the buffets holding the drinks and the concierge desks. There are a few sofas and a couple of tables and chairs here also. I don't think they have a tv unless that's been added recently. By comparison, it's much smaller than the Poly's and definitely lacks any views. To me it feels very much like a cozy bed & breakfast.
The food service is very nice and the same as the main buildings with the exception of the alcohol and no late night desserts. Morning offerings are deluxe continental with fruit, yogurt, croissants, pastries, cereals, oatmeal packets, juices and coffee. Afternoon includes a light salad, stuffed sliced chicken breast, assorted hummus, nachos, etc. They have an afternoon tea with scones, assorted cookies, brownies and sometimes trifle. The evening usually has 2 hot appetizers in addition to cheese & crackers, sliced vegetables and for the kids, mini hot dogs and cupcakes.
