on the golf perk! My DH will be playing for $39 a round in September, and he plays several rounds a trip. This is our 2nd trip this year with the golf card and it's saved a bundle. For us, this IS a significant perk. Combined with the AP discounts, we're pretty happy with DVC perks. Lots of golf and lots of park fun - all discounted. Gotta love it.

Comes and goes, and I've never seen it available for October (which is when we have almost always traveled).

What I fail to understand is why we get anything.

1. We have paid, so why would they need to "Give" us stuff LOL
2. No matter WHAT they do folks call and complain. When they gave the AP discount there was tons of whining that "my second cousin twice romoved who I never see" can't get the discount LOL!!!!

Based on the responses to ANYTHING they do give us on these boards, I am always amazed they even try!

The incentives you mentioned I always thought were for AP holders and not so much DVC. I guess I never really paid attention. Whatever they changed, it does not seem to affect us since we still get AP perks. Perks or not, we still enjoy DVC.

The only perks that we use are the PAP discount, and the valet parking. Everything else is either covered by our PAP/DDE, or useless to us.

We enjoy going to Fulton's for lunch, and the DVC discount is the incentive for going more frequently.

Because of DVC we go to WDW more often and get a discounted AP... That's a huge perk! We use DVC discount when we rent bikes at VWL. We got a DVC discount when we had massages at SSR earlier this month.

I have a DDE card so I don't use the DVC discount for eating in France. I especially like eating lunch in France....and did it solo earlier this month.

We use a a fair number of DVC discounts. I have bought the discounted MVMCP/MNSSHP tickets in the past. This year we're not as lucky with our dates...well, we will get a break on the MVMCP tix.

I'd say that DVC members and AP holders are the ones the it is in Disney's best interest to give the discounts to. It's the frequent visitors that have already paid that need to be enticed to pay more. Anybody will come once and spend once if they really want to. But if you've already been there it's probably a lower price point that will get you to do something again, eat at a certain place again or buy an AP again. Same thought behind frequent diner's discounts that a sandwich shop might have. It's a discount.....but only if you give them more $$$$'s! I know it works for me - I can be a real sucker if I'm getting a "discount"! And then if I'm feeling really silly I'll justify another purchase....because of how much I saved on the other!
