Recent experiences with Premium MagicBand ship date?

From what I've read it sounds like a MagicBand order with any Premium MB upgrades in it are shipped right away. My order was placed 2 weeks ago and I was charged right away, but the status is still processing. Our trip is 6+ weeks out so I've got time, but since I was expecting them right away I'm not sure if the process changed or if there's an issue in filling the order. I ordered once of elusive Castle MagicBands and I'm really hoping it arrives! Has anyone else not received their upgraded MBs soon after placing the order?
 
We ordered ours on October 10th and received them on October 18th. But that was in October. Maybe things are more backed up now with the holidays and Black Friday shopping, etc.
 
About the same timeline here - we ordered premium bands in mid-October and they shipped right away.
 
I ordered mine on 11/21 and they shipped right away. Got them last week.
 

Thanks everyone! It sounds like things nothing has changed with the process, I'm wondering if there is an issue filling my order. I ordered and received a confirmation on 11/19, but the status is still "Your MagicBand Order Is Being Fulfilled". I'll wait a couple more weeks and if nothing has changed will attempt to contact Disney about it.
 
There is some kind of issue. I have two that are stuck in limbo like yours and my trip is in two weeks. I'm going to try to call, but not sure who to call!

Ugh!!! That's what I was afraid of. I ordered during that time where the Premium Upgrades were not available for a couple of days but I snuck the order in when it was up for a bit. Since my CC was charged and I got a confirmation I assumed all was well. If you happen to find anything out about your order can you message back here? I'm going to see if I can get an answer too. Good luck! I hope you get them for your trip!!

I definitely will post. I have other active magic bands, so not the end of the world if they don't arrive for me. The last time I had to call Disney about something it took for ever and I got bounced to several different departments, so I haven't been looking forward to it.

Thanks so much! I'm traveling with several first-timers that were super excited to choose the color and engraving for their bands. My husband and I have several solid color bands but are excited about the premium bands we ordered. We can certainly deal with grey bands, but we're really hoping this order gets out of limbo and comes through! C'mon Disney this IT crap is getting old...

We are in a similar situation. We placed our custom band order about 2 weeks ago and only got the confirmation and charge shown on our credit card but no shipping info and no package yet. MDE showed that we'd declined bands so I called and was directed to the shop Disney help line (1-800-328-0327) where they confirmed that they could see my order (they knew which 2 custom bands we ordered) and said they'd been having trouble with some of the system around custom bands just now. They also said they could see confirmation that ours had shipped but the problems meant they didn't have a tracking number. After several more days and no box my wife called a different number to add the dining plan and asked about the magic band situation while she was on the phone and they didn't know anything about it, they couldn't even see what we'd ordered then the call got disconnected. After hoping they'd call back (why do they ask for our numbers and never call back?) my wife finally gave in and called them again, this person directed her to shop Disney where they once again confirmed they should be on the way. This was a couple days ago and nothing yet but we'll see. We fly out Friday night so they've got a few more days left.

Very helpful, but UGH!!! I really hope they magically show up before you leave!
 
Still nothing here. I called the shop Disney phone number again and this morning it was not even working I immediately got the old timey "busy" sound or maybe it was the "off the hook" who can remember which is which anymore. So I tried another WDW number and they transferred me to a MDE desk which when it was answered was described as a "password reset" help desk. I told the lovely cast member ,who sounded more like a friendly Rhode Island resident chatting in their living room, that I didn't need to reset my password so perhaps they'd need to transfer me again and she asked what I DID need. I told her my situation (2.5 weeks since we ordered and got confirmation, called after a week, and again after 2, we check-in on Saturday, and now I'm on the phone with her) she said her personal theory/opinion is that our bands will be waiting at the resort for us but after I wasn't too receptive to a personal theory said she'd check with someone else, she put me on hold for a couple minutes and came back to assure me that "she said they'll certainly be at our resort for us" I don't know who "she" was and nothing about the call seemed particularly official but now I've got that reassurance to help me calm down.
I think I'll be on the phone again later to figure out if there's some kind of guarantee and reference number anyone can give. I wish I could at least feel confident that the 3 hours we've been on the phone had been documented and we'd be shown some consideration if we show up and our paid for upgrade bands don't exist. It would be easy enough for them to say "sorry, chose 2 bands off the shelf" at the hotel or in a park but I won't be surprised if that's not the outcome. We do have 3 custom bands that we purchased before they started doing the "upgrade" ones online that we can connect to 3 of our 4 member party and we've actually got some old gen 1 bands that are still technically associated with me, my wife, and my oldest girl, maybe we should bring them and see if we can roll retro (if they haven't died).
A last minute check of MDE before hitting "Post" shows two different messages, one saying they've sent bands to our house (with pictures of gray bands for all 4 in our party) and another saying they've been sent to our resort (with pictures of gray bands for 3 of us and no indication of the 4th).

We got very lucky in that our order containing 1 premium band showed up within 3 wks of placing the order, but given all the problems people are reporting since then, I think from now on I will stick with the plain bands that are typically shipped 30 days before arrival.
 
We ordered our upgraded bands for our early Jan trip a couple of weeks ago, and they were shipped and arrived in maybe a week or slightly less? Based on what I’ve read over the past few months in the main MB upgrade thread, if the order isn’t shipped out and a tracking number provided within a few days to a week after being placed, there most likely is an issue with one or more of the bands running out of stock after your order was placed. We usually get the free bands and just order custom skins on Etsy, and after all the failed attempts to do the upgraded ones on MDE before we were actually successful, I think we will just stick with the free & Etsy combo in the future. Hopefully you’re able to get the issue resolved before your trip!
 
Last phone call resulted in them deciding that the bands had been lost and they refunded our money then had me place a new order for bands to be shipped to the resort (which they charged me for). The new order won't get our names inside and they didn't have the POTC one anymore so now I'm getting the HM wallpaper one. I didn't expect to get anything free out of this but I am disappointed that I'm paying the same price for bands that don't get the inscription on the inside and between my wife and I we spent about 4 hours on the phone trying to resolve the issue. We have other bands and they gave us a solution that means we still get discounted upgraded bands so in the world of problems this is pretty solidly "first-world" but I think I may still ask for some anytime fastpasses at the resort when we pick up our bands, to ease the 4 hours on hold.
 
Very sorry for all the problems people are having. I was thinking I probably shouldn’t have ordered mine 6 months early, but now I’m glad because I have them sitting in my jewelry armoire and don’t have to worry about it in May.
 
I placed my order Nov 17 and they arrived Nov 30. Seems like they've been having issues - there was conflicting info along the way. At different times my account said they'd be waiting for me at the resort (even though they were shipped), and also that I'd declined them. Now it has the correct info displayed. I hope you all end up getting what you ordered, and on time!
 
I ordered Magic Bands on 11/17/19 - 1 premium and 2 "free" bands - received a confirmation and they charged my credit card for the 1 premium band. On the confirmation it said they would arrive approx 10 days before our trip (our trip is next week) . On My Disney Experience - it showed "will be waiting for you at check-in' a few days after ordering - which I thought w strange and then it changed to "declined magic bands" last week,,,, Anyway - as you can guess, the bands never arrived.

I spent 2.5 hours on the phone being transferred all over creation (5 different people) until the last person told me I need to call Shop Disney Parks as they were the only ones that could look at my order (using my confirmation # from my magic band order). That was another 20 minute hold - they confirmed my order never shipped - which I knew as I had not received a shipping confirmation email. He said he had no idea what happened as they "never" charge the credit card until shipping is finalized... He had no info as to what happened with my order. My options were to order a new band though Shop Disney and have it shipped to resort - they would honor the $10 price (but could not be personalized ) or refund. I choose the refund as Shop Disney did not have the band I had originally ordered. Now here's the kicker - IF I wanted to re-order new magic bands - I had to call back My Disney Experience and have them 'release" the magic band area (currently says Magic Band Declined) in order to process a new order - he was not able to complete this step for me :scared1: So now I'm going on 3 hours spent on the phone and I am still not done ...

He transfers me back to My Disney Experience and after about 15 min -someone from Guest Services picks up - I explain what I need - they say they can't help me - they need to transfer me to proper dept - so they transfer me , I wait again and I get the "Password Reset" dept - explain to the person what I need and she said she can't help me - I need to talk to "Internet Services" so she transfers me to the que for that dept and the wait is over 60 minutes :eek: . Now at this point - going on almost 4 hours on the phone - my house phone battery stats beeping so I just hung up as the battery was not going to make another hour wait - it was now almost 9:30pm...:sad2:

So I think I am going to be smart and decide to use the "chat" feature to have them release the magic band area - well, another 15 minutes waiting for that and finally get someone on the chat and they tell they can't help em and I have to physically call internet services 😭😭😭😭

So a very long story short - I am done with this whole magic band disaster. I ordered and paid for everything properly and I have wasted over 4 hours trying to fix Disney's error - which is still not fixed... I will just pick up plain grey magic bands at check-in - not wasting anymore time and energy on this...

So for anyone else waiting for magic bands and see 'magic bands declined" - your order most likely did not process properly and if you were charged for them -call 1-800-328-0327 to have them check on your order and process the refund if needed - then you will need to call The Internet help desk (technical services) at 407-939-3471 to have them release the 'Magic band' area under My Disney Experience in order to be able to re-order new magic bands (FYI - do not press #1 for magic band help as they can not help with this issue and they just send you back to the beginning of the que)
