I ordered Magic Bands on 11/17/19 - 1 premium and 2 "free" bands - received a confirmation and they charged my credit card for the 1 premium band. On the confirmation it said they would arrive approx 10 days before our trip (our trip is next week) . On My Disney Experience - it showed "will be waiting for you at check-in' a few days after ordering - which I thought w strange and then it changed to "declined magic bands" last week,,,, Anyway - as you can guess, the bands never arrived.
I spent 2.5 hours on the phone being transferred all over creation (5 different people) until the last person told me I need to call Shop Disney Parks as they were the only ones that could look at my order (using my confirmation # from my magic band order). That was another 20 minute hold - they confirmed my order never shipped - which I knew as I had not received a shipping confirmation email. He said he had no idea what happened as they "never" charge the credit card until shipping is finalized... He had no info as to what happened with my order. My options were to order a new band though Shop Disney and have it shipped to resort - they would honor the $10 price (but could not be personalized ) or refund. I choose the refund as Shop Disney did not have the band I had originally ordered. Now here's the kicker - IF I wanted to re-order new magic bands - I had to call back My Disney Experience and have them 'release" the magic band area (currently says Magic Band Declined) in order to process a new order - he was not able to complete this step for me

So now I'm going on 3 hours spent on the phone and I am still not done ...
He transfers me back to My Disney Experience and after about 15 min -someone from Guest Services picks up - I explain what I need - they say they can't help me - they need to transfer me to proper dept - so they transfer me , I wait again and I get the "Password Reset" dept - explain to the person what I need and she said she can't help me - I need to talk to "Internet Services" so she transfers me to the que for that dept and the wait is over 60 minutes

. Now at this point - going on almost 4 hours on the phone - my house phone battery stats beeping so I just hung up as the battery was not going to make another hour wait - it was now almost 9:30pm...
So I think I am going to be smart and decide to use the "chat" feature to have them release the magic band area - well, another 15 minutes waiting for that and finally get someone on the chat and they tell they can't help em and I have to physically call internet services



So a very long story short - I am done with this whole magic band disaster. I ordered and paid for everything properly and I have wasted over 4 hours trying to fix Disney's error - which is still not fixed... I will just pick up plain grey magic bands at check-in - not wasting anymore time and energy on this...
So for anyone else waiting for magic bands and see 'magic bands declined" - your order most likely did not process properly and if you were charged for them -call 1-800-328-0327 to have them check on your order and process the refund if needed - then you will need to call The Internet help desk (technical services) at 407-939-3471 to have them release the 'Magic band' area under My Disney Experience in order to be able to re-order new magic bands (FYI - do not press #1 for magic band help as they can not help with this issue and they just send you back to the beginning of the que)
