Someone in my cruise Facebook group pointed that out too, bu the person concerned about this called DCL and was told that there was no exception for recent recovered Covid. Your suggestion to call inspire and/or DCL is a good one. I do not have a firsthand experience to relate here. You may have to call the cruiseline, but inspire diagnostics does have a section on their portal that allows you to submit proof of a positive diagnosis within 90 days AND letter from a doctor stating the patient recovered from Covid.
Kindof.. Bahamas has a medical exemption to their policy, but it isn't in the DCL policy that I have seen. Disney will be the final say in what is required to board the ship, and they should be following the agreements they have with the Bahamas and the public rules we have seen for cruise ships. Calling DCL is the right place to get the answer. I would probably not reach out to the Bahamas to determine what is required to sail (HAHA).Note that DCL is not calling the shots on exceptions. It's Bahamian rule.
On the safe passage site, the first thing it asks you is if you are recently recovered. You will need to submit the child's positive PCR from last weekend so save that. You will still need to get a PCR before sailing, but if it comes back positive it states you may not be prohibited from sailing. They will evaluate it and you still may be able to sail. That was my experience doing safe passage two weeks ago.We are sailing mid-october. One of our party tested positive this weekend. What do we need to bring to port to show that he is recovered? Unvaccinated 8 yr old.
But whether or not the safe passage site (which was not designed by dcl—it is a third party site that disney is using solely for the purpose of collecting vaccine records/test results)—it does not determine disney policy. The DCL website says over and over that a negative result is required and positive guests will not be allowed to board. I'm just reporting what it says on Safe Passage. They are the ones that clear people to sail. None of us on here really know. The best thing to do would be to call the number on the safe passage website. I never showed DCL any documentation or negative tests. Pre-Trip COVID-19 Testing: Guests 11 years of age and younger are not required to be vaccinated but must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result (paid for by the Guest) taken between 3 days and 24 hours before your sail date. The test should be a rapid PCR test or lab-based PCR test. Rapid antigen tests are not accepted. Guests may obtain their PCR test from any independent testing supplier. To submit your test results, visit the Safe Passage website by Inspire Diagnostics. In order to sail, all Guests (adults and children, regardless of age) must upload their proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test results on the Safe Passage website. A parent or legal guardian will need to use their own account to provide this information on behalf of minors.
Please be aware that Guests with positive COVID-19 test results, including those in their travel party, will be denied boarding. Guests may also be denied boarding if Inspire Diagnostics has not received the required documentation and/or pre-arrival test results needed to sail. Check the Safe Passage website by Inspire Diagnostics to ensure your account indicates those in your travel party are clear to arrive at the port. Guests who receive positive test results should not travel to the cruise terminal.

You get a clear or not clear sent to your QR code. I'm just reporting what the site says regarding positive covid tests in the previous three months. It really wasn't meant to be an argument.Well, sure, but Safe Passage shared your information with Disney and then Disney made the final decision. Disney says no positive tests. It's pretty clearly state on the website. If you're going to call anyone, better to call Disney than Safe Passage.
Yes, and there have been many reports of people who got the “all clear” from Safe Passage only to show up at port without having done PCR tests for their kids and been turned away by Disney. Every adult has their own log-in. The kids have to be added to an adult's and their status is listed as clear or pending just like the adults. They must not have added their kids or didn't notice that they were not clear. Have you checked in for a cruise? I did not find the site that confusing. I'm not sure how people missed that. I don't think the CM's that check you in at the port have any idea if you're clear because you showed a vaccine or a negative covid test. They are just looking for the clear status of every passenger on the reservation. I got the impression going through the process that DCL contracted with a third party so that their employees that aren't medically trained aren't responsible for determining whether you got the correct PCR test or vaccine. There are also some privacy issues.
Although I will say people aren't shy at all about telling you their vaccine status. If I had a dollar for every time someone on the cruise felt the need to tell me they are fully vaccinated it would have paid for my Dooney and Burke purse.
I'm not sure what that has to do with safe passage site. You can read about it yourself if you want:

Anyway Enjoy your cruise.
Everyone in your party has to have an all-clear. Obviously, when the CM scanned the QR code the kids were not clear. It seems the majority of people got it right and a handful of people that didn't read the directions are trying to blame it on Safe Passage or DCL. Anyway, I've gone through the process I thought everything was very clear and easy. Maybe once you do it yourself you'll believe me.The point was that Safe Passage gave the all clear, but those families still weren't allowed to board because Disney wanted proof of negative test results. So, they aren't just looking for the Safe Passage all clear QR code. It's more complicated than that.
Best to call DCL instead of Safe Passage if you think that you're a special case.
