Halloween on the High Seas

We have sailed on many Disney cruises but it has been YEARS since we have been on the Halloween cruise. My youngest daughter (who is now 21 and she was still in a stroller when we were on our last DCL Halloween cruise) and I have decided to take a 3 day on 10/21 and wondered if anything has changed? what can we expect to see and do as far as decorations and/or activities?

We have done a HOTHS the past 3 years. I saw some pictures of older HOTHS sailing n the boards a few months ago. It appears to be a lot less themed than in the past, especially on the Wish - where 2 of our 3 HOTHS sailings took place...

Oh that is really too bad because it used to be amazing with all the decorations events and costumes!! Fish extenders, gift exchanges, etc.......It was so much fun!

We were just on one of the sailings in Oct. they still have the tree in the atrium , did a costumes. Only thing I saw changed is they give you a bag of candy instead of trick or treating at different tables or spots. People still decorated their doors. Characters in costumes.

We were on the Wish in 2025, the Magic in 2024. The Trick or treating was more fun on the Magic, but on the Wish they had this cute picture!

Doors were definitely decorated, and we thought it was extremely festive! This year, we’ll be on the Fantasy!
