Recent 180 day reachers... how has it been?

We're checking in on September 30, so our day is one day past yours. The problem is that I don't see calendars up for October yet so I don't know which park we will be at when. I'm hoping that it will be up for October on April 1 to give me a couple of days to map out a plan. We want to do Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party and don't know what the dates are yet.

Not sure if these are official or not, but I came across these at another site, reportedly the 2011 dates:

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Sept. 13,16,20,23,27,30
October 2,6,7,10,11,13,16,18,20,21,23,25, 27,28,30,31
Nov 1

We're planning on the attending the 11th.

I will be there 9/23-9/30. I woke at 6 am yesterday to make my ADRs online - I had no problem getting the dates/times I wanted. I could not reserve the Fantasmic package online for September since the dates don't even show up on the calendar, so I called at 7 am....I got a reservation for Mama Melrose at 3:45 not my desired 5:15 ish. :surfweb:

Their online dining reservation system is broken. Both times I called to Disney yesterday morning, the CMs agreed. I am pretty techy and get figure out work arounds, but their online system is severely flawed.

we will be at WDW sept 24-Oct 8.
Tried to book a fantasmic package for sept 29, Oct 2 or Oct 6th.
Nothing available for dinner,
Latest time on sept 29 3:45 PM.
Reservations said Mama Melrose and other restaurants have not opened up dinnertime fantasmic packages yet.
Told to check back tomorrow.
Everything else has been easy.... Coral reef. California grill, etc.

I have had to wing it as well and have used the Travel Agents Calendar for October. I don't like the way Disney is posting the new park hours "10 days from"

We are doing 15 nights and it won't let me see any of the October portion of my trip. Last year my ADRs had to be made right at the beginning of the month so I had used previous year's park hours as a guide. There were a few days I had to change but they are pretty similar. I would go with the TA calendar for now.

For the most part mine was ok. I couldn't get Fantasmic reservations. I called but they are sold out. I will keep trying. I also wasn't able to get Cape May until 8:15. It was all they had left. I will be working on that as well. Everything else I got with in 30 minutes of my desired times. I hope the other two work out. I am going from 9/24 - 9/29.

We check-in on Sept. 28, so our 180 day is this Friday. I am getting nervous about getting our ADRs. It's my first time ever making ADRs myself and this far out, as dh phoned them in last time only a month before we left.

Today was our ADR's, this was my first time doing ADR's also. I was very nervous! Every one that has given me advice for our trip has started with "Make sure you do your ADR's at 180day mark, first thing". So this morning at 5:20am est. I had my laptop set up & logged onto WDW, home computer also turned on in case laptop fails, dialed the dining # to WDW in case of online system failure this way I just need to hit redial, (ready to call in at 7:00am). started to test online reservation system at 5:56am, 5:57am took a break, 5:59am. Then 6:00am game on, I made our first T.S. at Epcot at Biergarten Restaurant for 5:00pm this should be an easy one which it was got it for 5:00pm, next one is CRT which is like getting trying to get the holy grail we got withing 10 min of our time at lunch. The remaining restaurants were Crystal Place for Breakfast asked for 8:00am got 8:05am, Tusker house Breakfast asked for 8:00am got 8:00am. Coral reef asked for 5:00pm got 5:25pm. We also asked for Cape May for 10:00am got 10:00am.

Everything went smoothly & got everything we wanted. At 6:18am I was finished making my ADR's. At 6:20am I could not navigate the WDW web site any more it seems like things started to slow down, so my advice is have everything ready to go for 6:00am on Friday, this includes choice of beverage for the next exciting step in your trip planning. Mine is coffee with no Baily's Irish Cream though, I have three children to wake up at 7:00am for breakfast & off to school for 7:40am.

Good luck with our ADR's, I still feel nervous.

PS. My wife woke up at the same time I did, Ok I woke her up because I was very nervous & excited. She now thinks I a freak! I am starting to get sucked into the Disney World & I like it!!!

We're checking in on the 15th of September and made our ADRs at 180 days 2weeks ago (or something like that). We got everything we wanted within about 15min of our desired time. The only reservation we didn't get was T-rex for dinner on arrival day, so we just called the restaurant directly and were able to get the time we wanted through them (I have my opinions about that though lol).

You GOTTA try the new Bailey's Coffee creamers! Normally, I'm not big on the flavored creamers, but these rock. All the taste of Baileys, but I can still drive to work after drinking my coffee. The Toffee Almond is REALLY good, but the Creme Brulee is the BEST. Plain does the trick, too.

My wife and I are planning our attack for Saturday, the 9th. We've got the list in priority order, with preferred times all ready to go.

My one question is: Can 2 people be logged in to the same account on two different PC's making ressies? I mean, I suppose I could just log in under my account and use the same confirmation number, but I'm not sure that won't cause problems, too.

We check-in the day after you and I could not get Garden Grill for the next Friday at ALL. No lunch, dinner or breakfast. I had to switch out our Epcot day and change up my week plan. Although, I proved my point to my hubby on why ADRs early is soooo important :teacher:

Nothing quite like the satisfaction of proving your point - especially when the system speaks for itself and saves you saying "I told you so" ;) Well done on getting it all sorted out though. The prospect of having to rearrange all my park days is a scary one!

I made ours a week ago for a party of 8, 3 of our times were right on what we wanted, 3 were within 5 minutes of what we wanted, and Le Cellier we wanted 11 AM and got 11:30 AM which was no big deal at all. I had all 7 ressies by 6:08 AM and headed back to bed! LOL:thumbsup2

Good luck! If you are organized you shouldn't have any problems. I had my computer ready to go, my confirmation number ready to paste and a list of the day, restaurant and time. I also ordered them in what I thought would be the hardest to get or where the time was most important and made them in that order. Possibly a little OCD but it worked out well for me! :rolleyes1

I ended up having to call mine in due to the computer issues (sometimes it still tells me I have no reservations and other times it has them). I got everything I wanted except like others the Garden Grill. Even the person at reservations thought it was odd that it was all booked until 6:30 every night when it just opened to reservations.

I am hoping they just haven't released the earlier times and can pick one up later for it. Otherwise we will just stuff them with snacks that day so they will make it to dinner.:rotfl:

I was able to book a 4:05pm Mama Melrose F! package for 9/29 this morning. On the screen where you select the date you are looking for, manually type in the date "09/29/2011" rather than selecting from the calendar. It worked for me this way as the calendar had not yet been updated and you can't select the date on the calendar. The latest F! dinner package reservations are 5pm I believe and those are hard to get so 3:45 isn't too bad.

Well, this was one of the few he was determined to have (Sanaa, GG, and RR) and are lucky enough to be doing two days at Epcot..otherwise it would have been worse. :wizard:

I actually took day 180 off work because I know I won't be good for anything after the adrenaline rush! Thanks for the encouragement and tips.

I wish I could take a day off - I wouldn't get any sleep anyway. At least it's a quieter day-I only have 3 daycare children.

I just hope I can get back to sleep after I have booked my ADR's as it's 3 am here when it opens. Unfortunately, I have to get up a few times to get all my booking done as I stay 14 nights (this year it's 15-room only first night).

I reach mine on Thursday. Set my alarm for verrrryyyy early. I'm hoping to get it all done by the time I send hubby off to work! :cool1:

Here's our wish list:

Cali Grill
Le Cellier
Boma
HOB
Fantasmic pkg (hopefully)
Via Napoli
Crystal Palace
