I can't remember if I found this through the Frog Pond at BzzAgent, or through StumbleUpon, but this is such a fun and easy way to learn a new language. It's called LiveMocha. There are a ton of languages to choose, and it's a pretty cool concept. It walks you through lessons and you proceed at your own pace. You can create and work with flash cards. You can practice by writing and/or recording passages. And the neatest part, you can make new friends who are fluent in the language you speak and are trying to learn *your* native (or fluent) language, and practice with them so you can learn from each other. I'm FINALLY learning Italian, after all these years, and it's so much easier than other methods I've tried.

) It's really effective! I like how the exercises walk you through learning by site words, learning by listening, and learning sentence structure, and quizzing you on all of it in a fun way. DS and I decided we both like the "magnet" exercise best, that quizzes on sentence structure. We really felt like we had learned a lot.
