What does it mean when a post has an envelope with a black dot in the center beside it?

The black dot means that you have replied to that thread.

I like it because it helps me remember to check back to see what other people had to say.

You can also subscribe to threads. That way, you'll receive email updates when someone responds to a thread you've posted on. The link for this is to the right of the thread title, the third option down under print & email.

I think this is an awesome feature.
