REALLY dumb question

OK so in February we bought into SSR and because of the particular special they were running our use year was September instead of February. This gave is 150 points to use from Feb. until Sept. when we get another 150 points. We are not going until October so I have to bank the 150 points that I have until September right? Can I bank them and then in the same conversation with the agent book our vacation for October using those banked points? I am sorry if this sounds really stupid but I just want to make sure that I do the right thing.

I would suggest calling member services. You don't want to miss your banking window. Our use year is June and last November was my banking window. I'm sure that you can do both in the same call.

Yes, provided the points you recieved are "bankable" points. I don't know if they allow you to bank "Developer points"

The cutoff for banking 100% of a September UY points was 2/28. That said, you can only bank 75 points and will need to use the 75 (or greater) this use year. That is, if there are no other strings attached with the start up of the contract.

Since we bought at the end of February they extended our 100% banking date to April.

Another dumb question, what are developer points?

Developer Points are points are points in buildings not yet sold or in buildings not yet declared DVC buildings. They are often used as promo points.

Oh ok, we must not have gotten those since I just called and they let me bank all 150 of them for next year's use. I was surprised at how painless it was! They were a lot of help!
