Really Disappointed

ok, nothing to do with Ohana, but any suggestions would be helpful. We booked at Chef Mickeys for 7:25 am on 5-24 for 6 now my son is taking a friend and we are not able to change the reservation. We really want Chef Mickey's, it is one of our favorites and this is my 2 year olds first visit. Could I possibly just ask if she could sit in my lap when we check in? Do you think they would do this and or does anyone have any ideas or other suggestions?

Again...keep trying to get another ressie that includes everyone.

The back up plan....be at the podium at least 15 minutes before they open that morning and be as nice as possible....explain your situation and hope they will seat you with the extra person. Which BTW, they do not have to...it could put them over the limit for the fire code.

On my 180 day I tried to book Ohana for dinner on 9/24 with no luck. Later that same evening I checked again and a 5:05PM was available so I grabbed it. Keep on trying people change and drop ADRs all the time.

We called on our 180 day mark and were able to book Ohana at 5 pm for a party of 17 with no problem.

Thanks to this thread, I just happened to check Ohana for a night that we have friends that we wanted to take there, and randomly got a ressie for 5:05pm on a Friday night in September! Prior to this, I checked almost every day and only came up with 9:30p or later...thanks to this thread for making me check again!

Good luck, I have that date at 7pm. I made it on my 180 day and had to get up at 4:45 in the morning on a Saturday to get it. I hope something opens for you.

I picked 7 since Wishes starts at 9 and am hopeful that we'd be done just about then and can pop out to the beach and watch.

Thank you so much for the encouragement to keep trying for the reservation I needed! I finally got an available reservation for the same time just with my extra person added. If it had not been for the DISboards I probably would have never kept trying like I did. I love the DISboards and can't believe I didn't find it and register sooner!
