You don't necessarily have to hit anything to let her password be stored. On our computer, they get stored. If you log onto my computer once, and, say, your sign in name starts with a "B", all I need to do is type a "B" and push the arrow down key and it will give me a list of all the "B" names used to date. Then, once it auto-completed the name, I could tab into the password box and the password is entered.
I don't know how it was set this way, nor do I know how to erase the data, short of uninstalling and reinstalling explorer. There are at least a half dozen VMK players whose names I do not know (and are not mules of our family) in my computer. If I was malicious, I could rob them blind.
She needs to change that password ASAP and never again play VMK while at a friend's house.
I believe you are referring to firefox. The first time you put in your password it asks if you would like to save it, and chances are you may have hit that. This doesn't happen to me, but I know it can because I tried it with 1 of my accounts. Internet explorer doesn't do it for me, but firefox does.
