Really Bad Night

Another thing I didn't think about last night, the boy may have not had to memorize her password.
If the computer that your dd signed in on had the browser set to remember logins and passwords, she might not have realized if it saved her information. If it did that, then the boy might have just found the login ID and automatically logged in.

Two of my Godchildren also play VMK and they have done so while at my house. My browsers are set to save logins and passwords. I have had to warn their mom and dad about this in case they play at their friend's homes.
Luckily, they don't play at their friend's houses so never have had to worry about their logins being stolen.

I will give her stuff all right that is sad my brother did that I let him wear my bat magic and he delete me and threanted to trade it lucky my dad made him return it well gl on getting everything back but I have some stuff to give

You guys have been all so amazing! I HONESTLY never expected the extreme generosity that I have seen and heard! I shoudl have expected nothing less from the "Disboards Peeps" I simply wanted a place to vent, to ppl who understood what VMK is! I seem to the VMK mom to many little VMKers who are my DD friends, because I am the only "big kid" mom around! lol! I am truly at a loss for words. Thank you all for your support! My DD will be elated when she I show her these posts after school today! YOU ALL ROCK!!

I am curious if you have spoken with the boy's parents again and asked for him give your daughter items and / or a shopping spree of items of he choice. This boy NEEDS to make it up to your daughter or he will see that what he did has no major consequences. Has the boy (or his parents) done anything to rectify his actions?

Suprisingly enough, nothing, to my knowledge has really been done. When I called the boy's mom over the weekend to expalinto her what had happened and why I wanted to talk with him (I suggested she stay on the phone so no "heresay" was involved) she seemed a little annoyed with what he had done, but nothing was done that I am aware of. My daughter was not home at the time and I was simply trying to get him to give her stuff back,and I promised him wouldn't bring it up again, as long as he gave her items back. My daughter's friend was with her brother at the time and she was angry with him for doing that. So I sort of had her on my side helping me out, I think

All I know is that he admitted to taking her stuff and then he actually traded it (bad trades I might add). He gave a lot of stuff to his vmk friends as gifts, and I personally think he has stuff stored possibly on another account.

I have to admit, I was very suprised to hear that he was on VMK, on HIS account, with is sister and my DD. I was suprised his parents allowed him back on. When I asked my daughter if she thought I would let her back on if that had been her, she said no, and said I probably would have deleted her account. She was right. I spoke to the boy on speaker phone with my daughter and her friend on the phone a second time, and explained to him that had he done this in the real world, it would have been considered Robbery, a major offense, and he would have probably been put in jail for doing it. He didn't say anything to me, probably because I'm the mom, but whatever!!!

Like I have said before, I am simply shocked that a friend that she sees everyday at school would do this to her. I think he most shocked that we knew it was him. My DD was most disappointed because she said it hurt her feelings more because she would never have done this to anyone, why would a friend do this to her..............I guess it's a life lesson learned.

Thank you to all for your concern, advice and generosity. I can't wait until DD gets home after school today so she can see how much support she has. I'll update you all if any drama happened at school over this! lol!!

With passwords, my computer usually replaces the letters with stars when you type them. I guess not all computers do that. How about telling the boy to give her the stuff he traded for using her stuff?

I think this is what hit me the most about this theft, it was a person from real life doing it not just a virtual person scamming. I agree, it is life's lesson but it is good to know that there are people at there - like us on the Dis who are kind and giving.

Hopefully, this will help her to try to identify (at a young age not easy) to know who and who not to trust in the future.

I recommend that the mom should tell him to give all his stuff to her from all his characters, then telling him to earn credits and buy everything for sale and give to her, then telling him to earn more credits to buy a quest kiosk and earning 1,000,000 more credits to give to her through the quest kiosk, then delete all his characters and never let him use the computer again. Muahaha!
I might be able to give her some extra stuff.

Stars don't mean much if you are a one or two finger typist and someone is watching over your shoulder.
