I don't know if it's Nutri-System, but it might be - I got so ticked off when it was on, I forgot to pay attention.

But anyway...

This woman says "Look, I'm a Size TWO! I went to (insert weight loss center) and lost 33 pounds and now I'm a size TWO!!!"

OK, if you are now a size 2, and you HAD to lose 33 pounds, what were you before - a 6 or maybe an 8? :confused3

I guess I'd better call Nutri-System. This size 6 I'm in is obviously way too large. ;)

Haven't you heard? 0 is the new 2, 2 is the new 4 and 6 is the new 14

Must be! Yesterday, DD and I were in Kohl's and she was looking for dress pants. We had to paw through oodles of 0's, 1's and 3's. Barely found any 7's or 9's, which is her size.

She said "I must really be fat Mom."

I said "No honey, you're NORMAL. That's why everyone bought up all the NORMAL size pants already." :teeth:

It makes me so angry and its sending out a horrible image to our children. I was a size 12 in high school and I was skinny! I was happy with my size and weight and had no problems finding anything in style. When I go into a Jrs. dept. now and look at a size 12, OMG!!!!!!! No size 12 I KNOW could fit into those things.

Its really sad that we are sending out that image to our kids. You do NOT have to be a size 2 to be beautiful!

I just hate those types of commercials, then people want to know if you (collective you) are on a diet and which one. Yikes, I just wish they would show normal women instead of "Anorexia Barbie"!

One thing the clothing makers do now is vanity sizing...when you were in high school, you wore clothes marked size 12, but the same size is now marked 6 (for instance). I guess they think more people will buy their stuff if it says a smaller size.

OP, I hate those commercials. Totally sends the wrong message!

It's true :thumbsup2 I can never find my size and there's always plenty of size 2's left. I used to feel bad until DH pointed this out to me

I hate ALL the weight loss commercials. Every one say take this and lose weight like magic ... and in real fine print:

When used in conjunction with a diet and exercise even if the commercial asks if you're one of those whose can't loose weight on a diet and with exercising ...

People spend SO much money on this junk ...

There is a really obnoxious one for one of those "miracle" pills where this guy is dressed in a pill bottle and making FAT JOKES. Oh yea calling me every name in the book will make me want to TAKE YOUR PILLS. WTH are these people thinking?

Did you read where Howard Stern said Katherine McPhee needed to lose some weight? The poor girl was a size 6 and already battling an eating disorder. She's beautiful and he's an ***

Yes - that's ticks me off to no end.

What is wrong with people???

Has anyone seen Kelly Clarkson lately? Looks like the weight loss jerks caught up with her too. She looks like she's losing a frightening amount of weight. :sad2:

I think it's cool. They've identified a niche market - people sizes 8/10 who would love to be 2/4/6 - and they're pursuing it. I fall into that category, and I totally relate.

Those commercials are only slightly more annoying than the

commercial.

I agree, and it makes me angry. She was one of last normal looking female performers left.

Really, what is the product for? I am scared to find out. If they can't tell you I am thinking it isn't something I really want to know.

I agree about the vanity sizes. I recently lost a little weight. (about 20 pounds.) Now I am a good 15 pounds heavier then I was in college still. I just bought a few pairs of shorts in size 4. There is no way I am the size 4 I was in college. I think these 4's are really 8's. However it does feel pretty good to put a size 4 on. Stilwho are they fooling? I know it isn't a real size 4.

I was always a very little person when before I got married. I was looking for the smallest size possible, and I know they didn't have any 00's 15 years ago. Sadly this is no longer my issue. Such is life. I am no longer 18 years old (and 2 kids later no less.)

It is so sad, every normal looking person in the public eye becomes anorexic sooner or later.
