Reality check on BCV resales.

I haven't paid much attention to the resale markets for a while, but lately I've been getting the itch for more points. In looking at the TSS website I see BCV resales listing at $94-95. Just curious, are sales going though at this price or are these just some ambitious sellers?

If that is the price the market is bringing, I feel pretty good about the deal I got. I paid $75 per point in May 2004 and thought I overpaid at the time.

I am currently on the waitlist for BCV points at DVC and my guide told me that a contract sold for 96 a point this week. Obviously DVC passed on it.

Honestly TSS get MUCH better prices for their resales than many and I think if I was going the resale route they would be my first choice because some of the places have points for sale 5-10 under TSS and that would scare me as a buyer to put forth the effort for ROFR to snatch my points away. TSS seems to do a great job for buyers and sellers.

As a point of reference, when I went on the waitlist this week for BCV. my guide told me that I would pay $92/point.

hmmm, i bet disney cant wait to get all those points back in 2042.

Disney did a ROFR on a contract we were hoping to buy last December. It wa a stripped contract for $83/point and I thought they would "match" the SSR special going on then. With the official price being $98 (I think) I guess savvy buyers think they are saving money. And how can you get the add on price if you don't already own DVC? So I think the BCV resales are going to new buyers who are saving a little from SSR and geting where they want to be.

200pts plus 152 banked. All pts available Dec. 1, 2006.

Passed ROFR last week @$90/pt. Took alot less time than we expected.



All5ofus..to answer your question. They are going thru at least at $90 for a Dec. use year. There was another one that passed last week 160 December for $90.
