Hi All,

We always drive to DLP but usually break up the journey with an overnight in Calais and then take a very steady drive down. This year we need to get there in one straight blast, our eurotunnel arrives in France at 2pm. Google is telling me that we can get there in just under 3 hours - is that realistic? I'm desperate to get our tables booked and just wondered what would be a realistic time to eat that evening (sad I know!)

Also anyone checked in at the Cheyenne recently? Is it still over an hour wait to get checked in!? lol!

Thanks :goodvibes

Our drive from Calais took just a little over 3 hours, this was on a Sunday, so there was only light traffic (I beleive there are no HGVs on the road then?)

Yeah that time is correct, takes us around an hour (when DH doesn;t get lost!)

Obviously not an hour! Brain is on a go slow today!!

Around 3 hours is correct :)

we've driven twice- both times taken just under the 3 hours, about 2 hrs 35first time and 2 hours 50 the second. Both times have been on sunday when there are no HGVs on the road, both times setting off from Calais around 8.30am

:cheer2::cheer2:

i did it in just under 3 hours on the way there on a sunday with barely any traffic, or eurotunnel got in around 10am and on the way home we left disney at 9.30am and got the 1.40pm train so it was just over 3 hours on the way back as traffic around paris was a bit heavy. We acutally did the toal journey in exactly 6 hours on the way home without stopping with a 1 year old, i was very proud of myself! lol, she slept the 3 hours to train, then had some food and a bum chnage and then slept until we got home, i think disney tierd her out lol! :lmao:

It took us about three hours as it was raining and they put a weather related speed restriction on the roads and we had to stop for at least 2 wee stops!!! That was a week day, leaving train about 9.30. Would have though you'll miss the evening rush hour, just about, so should be able to do it in about 3hrs??

Thanks Guys :goodvibes I'm sure we will be stopping for a few loo breaks but at least I know we can look at booking a table for about half seven/eightish and kick start the holl :goodvibes sometimes I find googles interpretation of driving distances a bit off but pleased to see that one is spot on :)
