Real Life game/fun: Calling for a DisBoard Gamers DisMeet....first week Oct 2013

Here is me and biking.

Oh my...OK truth be told, it's been 1 1/2 years since I've been on a bike. Usually, other than at FW, I ride in Cape May NJ, where it's level and I bike to the ocean to sit and meditate and watch dolphins. Haven't been to Cape May, maybe I'll do what you're posting the next time I try! I hope not, but it's possible.

I know I'm just perpetuating rumors, but there is one place we haven't considered staying...the Grand Floridian Villas!!! :rotfl2:

I really don't know much about BCV and views but most of the reports I've read it's the location not view that makes this a desirable property. The BWVs have been known to have some nice views. Some have partial views of Illuminations.

We will certainly make these decisions more like a year from now. Hopefully they won't make any major point changes in January unless they are in our favor.

I've finally gotten round to updating the first post....somehow.....I missed updating Usnuz on the Who's Going list till now...:sad2:

Anyway....she's up and officially going!

Do you want to talk about some of the things you like to do at WDW? I only found out about the free souvenir that you can draw at Disney's Art of Animation area about 6 years ago. I do wish that I had known about when our DSs were younger so we could have a larger collection of the artwork. It's something I like to do at least once each year now, and I've collected mine in a binder.

The "class" takes about 15 -20 minutes. You're reminded that there are no erasers, so you should draw lightly and gradually darken the lines that seem best. You're also told to note that the pencils do not say WDW or have any sort of ad on them, so please be sure to leave them for the next class!;) The most challanging character that I've drawn was Louis, the trumpet playing alligator!

Is that something you would like to do at DHS?

Bobbi:goodvibes

I'd love to try drawing my own character. We've never been able to do so in the past because DS has never really be interested and he doesn't sit still well. But he will probably be mature enough to LISTEN in a couple of years.

I hadn't really given it much thought...but DH and I have always wanted to do a tour either behind the scenes or the segway round Epcot. We knew that DS wasn't old enough for either of those and never really gave it much more thought. I don't even know what the minimum age is for those tours.

What about everyone else?

I love the animation class :) I'm horrible at drawing, but my sketches at least look halfway decent after that class :lmao:

I'm not really interested in the segway tour, at least for me. I'd love to do a tour, though. Maybe the Keys to the Kingdom, so I can get a refresher on the trivia they taught me on my first day in the parks :lmao: If you work at MK, they give you a modified KTTK tour before you start working.

So, I just looked it up, for pricing and ages.

The Segway is 16+, and (currently) $99pp. KTTK is $74pp and 16+.

I think the Behind the Seeds might be the easiest for us all to do, since it doesn't seem to have a minimum age and it's less than $20pp. There's another MK tour for $30 that's ages 12+, too (the Marceline to MK one).

Well, he'd be old enough for the Behind the Seeds and Marceline to Magic Kingdom ones :) Are either of those of interest?

I'll have to wait and see. Will the Marceline to MK take us into the utilidors?

We may or may not be interested in activities depending on Fran's mobility. She would love to do any of them, but at her current mobility levels she is unsure if she could step into the Wishes pontoon boat. We plan to hit the gym, and this trip is two years away so we'll see as we get closer.

Something else that occurred to me, depending on Fran's level of mobility and everyone else's interest (obviously) would be the haunted hayrides... Would anyone else besides me be interested in doing that, maybe? :lmao: I just love Halloween :teeth:

Really? I don't think I noticed....:rolleyes1.

Have you started to plan your Halloween costumes for 2013 yet? :lmao:
