From NJ and stopped calling my parents mommy and daddy before 10 (which is when I moved to TN). I remember coming home the first day of school in TN and calling my mom "momma" because that was what ALL the kids in my 4th grade class called their moms.
And here, lots of adults still call their dads "daddy."

I just never heard that in S. NJ. :)

Last night was another mess. Ugh.

The part that bothered me the most was that Teresa's parents chose her over their son. I just think they should have stayed neutral. I find it very wrong to stop having anything to do with your son when you do not have the whole story. I felt he was truly hurt about that.

I just got back from grocery store and saw current InTouch magazine and guess who is on the cover?? Teresa and Melissa. The caption was "Teresa's husband made a pass on Melissa". I didn't have time to check out the article. But no way do I think that Joe would go anywhere near Melissa unless he was really drunk. And I saw where he now has his own line of wines??

I'm confused. Didn't Joe imply he hadn't seen his parents in a year? On WWHL Melissa said they see his parents every Sunday, and don't mention Teresa, and things are fine. :confused3

She has said so many things that contradict each other. I never worked at Lookers. I only worked there for a week. I worked there for 9 months.

I was a teacher. I wasn't a teacher.

I don't like any of these ladies, but Melissa is one that really irritates me. She is truly fake.

Jac has turned into a mental case. She really needs to leave the show and take care of herself and her son.

This is *definitely* a Jersey thing. I grew up in NJ and everyone I know, including my family, no matter how old we are, call our our parents Mommy and Daddy. :goodvibes

I'm from NY, not NJ. I never call my parents Mommy or Daddy but I do refer to them as that when talking to my siblings. Everyone in my family does it. As does my husband's family. I don't know why. I would never address them that way or say it to other people.

I couldn't even finish watching the reunion. I just stopped paying attention and shut it off.

First Melissa says they weren't speaking to Tre for a while before the show, but then they say they moved to the same town to be close to her. :confused3
Plus, there's footage of them at birthday parties and Tre's housewarming party. Those were before they were on the show so if they weren't speaking, why were they invited?

I thought it was funny that with all the stripper talk Joe G. Admits to being a stripper in the past.

I can see referring to your parents as Mommy & Daddy when talking to a sibling. But with other people, not so much. I have a few friends who refer to their parents as Mommy & Daddy. It always makes me pause for a second.

There are so many stories and lies all twisted around with these ladies, I don't think the truth could ever be untangled. I LOVE what Chris said about focusing on what is important - he's so right. All the conniving and competing shouldn't let them lose focus on the fact that after all this is gone, they are going to be left (hopefully) with each other.

I wonder if they are going to shake up the cast for next season? More of this will not be entertaining.

Mommy user here. My entire family does.
When referring to our mothers outside the family we do not use Mommy.

None of them did. Its weird. They all act like being called a stripper is so horrible but Joe G. Was one. Isn't their attitudes about strippers insulting to him? :confused3

I know. They were all laughing about it and Teresa even made a comment about finding his G-string in his bedroom.

:rotfl:Once again Teresa fumbles up the use of her words. I had to stop and think about it when she told Melissa twice she was so "contriving". I realized she meant "conniving". Everytime she opens her mouth the hoof and mouth disease blurts out. So laughable. She is just so vicious..no regard for what she says or who she hurts. I feel so sad for the loss of relationships between her kids and Melissa/Joe's kids. Kids should never be involved in family garbage.

I guess it is at least where I'm from because seriously, everyone we know says it and we're not all Italian. We bring this topic up often between friends because a lot of us have moved away from the area and you don't realize it's different until you're not there. No big deal, my point was that it's not unusual to me at least for grown children to call their parents Mommy and Daddy.

I was born and raised in Jersey, I now live in FL my friends and I call our parents Mommy and Daddy. I do not see reason to stop just because I am 45yrs old My parents will always be Mommy and Daddy. :goodvibes

I am not Italian but my husband is. :duck:

Did you happen to catch her trying to say "opportunist?" I believe she said "opportunityist."

I know! And why is it that Teresa doesn't have a problem with that? Double standard! :rotfl:

Thats what makes this whole strippergate "set up" so silly. We all KNOW both she (Teresa) and likely Kathy knew for a fact that Joe was a stripper. He obviously ran with that kind of people. Why would she care if he did indeed (not saying he did) meet & date a co-worker. Exposing Melissa could mean exposing her brother. That all but verified my opinion that Teresa didnt set up Melissa in the whole strippergate.

Did anybody else read that interview from the infamous Johnny. He"s the one who claims to set up Melissa. He claims that Bravo edited the bald guy saying "yeah Teresa want to set up Melissa". He claims that the bald guys full statement was "Johnny told me T wanted to set up Melissa". We were only given the edited version.

I was in our local health store today and saw an 8 ounce bottle of blk water for $1.49 so I just had to try it....one word, HORRIBLE.

It truly is black and seems a tiny bit "thicker" than water. But the taste...it's just bitter and gross! I can't imagine anyone actually enjoys this crap. Did they even taste it before they started hawking it??

Not to mention $1.49 for eight ounces is ridiculous!

EWWWWW.......

The thought of that consistency makes me wanna hurl.
You are a brave soul for even trying it.

Danielle Staub reportedly returning to 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey'

By Elizabeth Kwiatkowski, 11/14/2012

Danielle Staub's Real Housewives days are apparently not over.

The former The Real Housewives of New Jersey star will reportedly be returning to the reality series for its upcoming fifth season.

"Bravo has offered Danielle a contract," a source told In Touch Weekly. "Danielle is contemplating whether this will be full-time or part-time."

According to another In Touch source, Staub "will be filming several episodes" for the upcoming season, which will also feature former The Celebrity Apprentice contestant Teresa Giudice and her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga dealing with the effects of Hurricane Sandy instead of their own blowout arguments.

"The producers squeezed all the juice they could from the Giudices-versus-Gorgas story line and had to think of a fresh outlet for drama," the source added. "Having [Danielle] back on will ruffle a lot of feathers!"

Staub -- who sought professional treatment for psychological problems caused by childhood sexual abuse in May 2011 -- left The Real Housewives of New Jersey after its second season, which aired in 2010, due to overwhelming fights she had with fellow cast members.

She subsequently appeared on VH1's Famous Food reality show.

Gross.

Well, Bravo is something else. Does anyone know if Caroline or Jacqueline returned? What about Kathy?
