I think if Theresa dealt with the 250lb drunk weight attached to her she would be a better person. She needs to remember the time when her oldest daughter asked her father about his whereabouts the night before. She needs to stop worrying about Melissa and Joe. Stop trying to mess up a happy home just because she's miserable in hers. I don't think its jealousy. I think she's just miserable. It can get very uncomfortable painting that fake smile on her face day in and day out.

I guess what bothers me about this show vs. others – this is family. To me, the whole world (me included) will trash and psychoanalyze their lives. I get it. For your family to do it, on TV is just hard for me to watch. The way Rich and Kathy trash Teresa and Joe not just to the immediate family but to friends is horrible. I remember last season watching as Joe Gorga and Melissa attended a dinner party with Melissa's sisters and friends. I almost vomited (hyperbole :goodvibes). It was one thing to watch Melissa and her sisters and friends talk about their financial situations but the brother - IMO - went too far. Even if EVERY word is absolutely true, to sit there and say NOTHING or sit there period (at least excuse yourself). That's betrayal to me. Joe joined in. He threw salt in the wound. In previous years, I didn't hear one word of Teresa trashing her brother or his wife - I just think lines are crossed.

You may be absolutely 100% correct about your assessment of Teresa and her Joe - but her family (and now 'friends') appear to bask in her misery. It just seems if your family doesn't have your back - who will? It appears that Teresa is out there by herself (some of this is her own fault). In my opinion because she is the break out of that group of women. If you look at all of the Housewives – the breakout appears to be the most hated of the groups. They always have to defend their EVERY move.

I love when people ask for opinions and then tell me my opinion is wrong!

I didn't say your opinion was wrong, I just said what I WOULDN'T say. Please go back and re-read my post. It's not combative in any way. I'm not even disagreeing with you entirely. I even stated I thought she WAS jealous - just for different reasons.

I have people in my own family who even at their worst, they go out of their way to bring other family members down. So I hate it when they talk trash about Theresa, as soon as they see her, they smile. Kathy and Richie do this all the time to Theresa. Kathy is so smug and Richie just pops off with a comment. Very tacky.

IMO, those are the ones that are truly misery.

I agree with you.

I also never remember Theresa talking bad about her family in the show during previous seasons. You would think if she was so awful to them, she'd talk about them to her friends (Jacqueline, Dina).

Is it true that Melissa and Kathy wouldn't even be on the show if it wasn't for Theresa?

If I'm not mistaken, Theresa didn't want them on the show because this drama was already happening and she didn't want it on the show.

I just can't hate Theresa like everyone else does. She's not smart, we know that, and she is not good at getting her point across, especially during arguments. It's frustrating to watch because I get what she's trying to say, I almost want to say it for her!! :) But I do feel bad for her, while some of this mess is her fault, I don't think she deserves the vitriol that comes towards her from EVERYONE else on the show...

This show has become exhausting to watch. The gossip is just unbelievable and these characters are a mess...husbands, grown MEN having a TEXT WAR? What is this, Junior High?

But to me Caroline is the WORST! Don't even get me started on her "I don't have time for drama" BS. She may have moved on from the friendship, but she sure still loves the gossip and is constantly fueling the fire.

Kim D...holy duck lips! I was wondering how long it would be before she popped up again...back to stirring the pot as usual I see!

I really hope we can get some light hearted episodes this season...this drama is getting too heavy and like I said, it's exhausting!

In her defense, she did say she fit into 2 things that were a size 8. She didn't say she was a size 8. I think there is a difference. I really think it is sad that she gets so beaten up just because of her weight. Who really cares what size she is anyway? She is pretty, and nice, and a great person. If she was a guy, that would be enough.

I thought she said 2 size 8's, meaning a size 16.

Honestly, I think that Teresa has a sick obsession with her brother and she is completely jealous of his younger hotter wife! SICK!!!!!!!!

I have 2 brothers and have always been very close with them but I have NEVER been jealous of their wives. I feel like I finally have sisters!

This!!! And she is just bat **** crazy...

How can you put on 2 size 8 shirts or pairs of pants? That doesn't make sense to me. I think she meant that she tried on two different things that were a size 8 and they fit. Whether they really DID fit is another question, but I think that's what she was saying.

I don't think she meant it literally. I think it was just her way of saying she's a size 16 without saying "I'm a 16!" There is no way she is a size 8. I know that when I was a 16+, the last thing I wanted to do was to tell someone my size. That's why I feel so bad about her brothers teasing her. I was always the "heavy" one in my family and it's embarrassing and used to give me anxiety when we were all together. I could totally feel her pain the other night.

That's what I thought she meant also. I have a hard time believing she can wear an 8. Maybe she has a larger upper body so her clothes make her look bigger all over?

I wish she hadn't mentioned a size. Now people are talking about whether she can wear an 8 or not. I don't think anyone would be doing that if she hadn't said it.

Am I the only one that doesn't buy the Melissa/Joe happy marriage thing? Although I think Teresa is a bit off her rocker, I don't buy for a second that this whole family is pretty as can be and Teresa is the big bad ugly troublemaker.

I don't believe that is M&J's home, that whole "Joe at work" scene was so staged it was scary and the whole Joe the hornball act is awful.

Personally, while I still watch this trainwreck LOL, I watch it knowing that none of this is real truth. We see 45 minutes a week out of hours and hours. The "characters" they play are amusing but I don't buy the authenticity of much of it. There is , in my opinion, some heavy handed editting going on.
