Does anyone know if they have "real" cribs at the WL. We will be staying for 4 nights in Dec with our 13 month old and she can not sleep in those pak -n-plays. Also, we are staying in a "woods" view. Can you recommend a good room where we can see the MK fireworks? My daughter will be too pooped out to stay in the park that long. We also need a quite room for her. Do they have rooms with just one bed? The rooms look too small to put a crib in.

Can't wait! WL virgin!

Hi,

We stayed at the WL in Feb and have already booked another trip for this Feb. again at the WL. I can't comment about the room with a view as we had a courtyard view. But as far as the crib comment, all I am aware that they have at the WL are the pack and plays. We have a two year old and that's what they brought her to sleep in. However, there is a place sort of close to disney that you can "rent" baby items and I'm sure they have somesort of crib that maybe of use to you. I don't know if they will have a full size crib or not. I'm not even sure if that will even fit in your room. Room sizes at the WL are smaller than most of the other deluxe hotels. I'll try to find that website and email it to you. Maybe someone else who has used that service can give their opinions. Another option is if you are getting a room with two queen beds is to get those bed rails and put on each side of the queen bed. You may ask at the front desk to see if they have those to lend. You may want to contact the WL directly to see if they have what you are needing. Their phone number is 407-824-3200. Hope this helps.

HI, Athena's Mommy! We just got back from WL and real cribs are apparently available. But you need to request before you get there and when you arrive. A pack n play was what they brought to our room and I thought my daughter would not be able to use it, because she needs her "clowny mobile" to go to sleep. DH was able to attach it and it looked very comfortable with all the bedding, so we accepted it. However, the bellman who was helping us with our luggage was prepared to bring us up a "real" crib. So they must have them, probably in a limited quantity. Call the WL directly... the front desk CM's will know for sure (if they are allowed to tell!):D

As for Fireworks view, send an email and or fax before you go. Not less than 4 days before you leave... Ask for North Wing, highest possible floor, with a view of the MK fireworks.

For a quite room I would suggest asking for a room in one of the wings. The rooms that overlook the hotel lobby are very noisy. For a room with one bed I think they are only with the king bed. Otherwise they have 2 queens or a queen and a set of bunkbeds. To see the fireworks you need a high up room, I remember reading on the www.wdwig.com some room #'s that you could see them from. Hope this helps. You will love the WL.
One more thing -we had room # 1014 before which is in one the wings with a woods view, very quite. Request this area if you can.

They do not have real full size cribs available at any of the WDW resorts. If you are offered a real crib, it's the size of a pack 'n play which is just raised off the floor (and the sides are immovable), it's a true port-a-crib. If you want a full-size crib like you have at home, you'll have to rent that. There is an off-site place that rents them and will come to any WDW resort and set it up. Their website is www.abbf.com You can request a king bed room, if it's just you, your DH and your child. But be aware that most of the king bedded rooms at WL are handicapped accessible and DO NOT have a tub, only a roll in shower, which with a little child is most likely unacceptable. Here is a picture of a port-a-crib, remember the mattress is the same size as a pack 'n play, and truly are that thin.

Thanks for the web site link jel0511. I went to the link, and also saw that they rent toddler beds. This is exactly what we need for our trip in December. My daugher is 2, and sleeps in a toddler bed at home. This would make her feel right at home. Thanks again.

We had a lobby room on the 5th floor (5081) and it was quiet as it could be. I think we were high enough up that the noise wasn't an issue and the hotel was 100% booked.
