Ready for our Christmas Fantasy - 12/15/2012

aka - if the world ends on 12/21/2012 then I'm going to be on Castaway Cay!

Who are we?
Me - Mom - third Disney cruise (October 2010 Magic, January 2002 Wonder)
DH - Dad - third Disney cruse (same as me!)
Princess A - almost 5 at time of sailing - second Disney cruise (October 2010 Magic)
Princess J - 22 months at time of sailing - first OFFICIAL cruise (I was pregnant when we cruised in October 2010)

We are planning a surprise Christmas cruise for Princess A. It's a good thing she can't read, because she would have found out by now for sure! I've told Princess J, but since she's just 13 months old, she really doesn't understand what I'm saying. Hey, I had to tell someone, right?



List of things I need to do:
Clean out the "cruise box" with our stash of good stuff for cruising
Sew/plan outfits for the cruise (October/November)

We will be with ya on the same trip. Cannot wait! We have a princess of our own...she will be 8. I wish it could have been a surprise but I can't keep a secret that long. Only 269 days to go! Good luck with your planning.

A little more about us:

We are a family of Disney lovers! I've been to WDW a grand total of 7 times, including our land/sea honeymoon in 2002. As I said already, this will be our third cruise.

DH is also a passionate Disney fan. He's also a golfer, so he's going to be checking out any golfing-type port excursions on this trip.

Princess A adores Mickey Mouse, but the princesses are her "best friends". She has been to WDW twice and on one Disney cruise. On the Magic, we had the most MAGICAL experience ever, which I think cemented how much she loves the princesses. This cruise is going to be a surprise to her, we're planning on telling her we're going on a trip, but not where we're going.

And finally Princess J, who has recently decided that she loves Minnie Mouse. She's 13 months old now, so that might change! She's been to WDW once, and she cruised and visited DisneyLand while I was pregnant with her. So, she's known nothing but Mickey since literally before she was born!


I also love to sew. I've made several dresses and outfits for the Princesses over the years, so I hope to work on some customs for this trip. I know we'll need at least one set of matching Mickey Christmas pajamas!

Finally we need to figure out exactly what our travel plans are. I know we are going to fly down to Orlando on 12/14 and stay in the Hyatt MCO. We did that before our Magic cruise and it worked well for us. I think the biggest decision we need to make is what we're going to do after the cruise. Assuming the world doesn't end, I think we'll try to stay an extra night at a resort hotel and fly home on 12/23. I'd love to do Contemporary or BLT so we could go to the MK with the girls in the afternoon and use the monorail.

So, I think that's it for now. I'm a train-of-thought typist, so I may come back and edit and rearrange this later.
