Haley, can you get your mom hooked on scrapbooking as a hobby?

It can be pretty time-consuming. Point out her inventory of photos (everybody has bunches, don't they?) and how nice it would be if they were put in albums for the grandkids to have someday!!! An album and some basic supplies would make a great Christmas gift.

Can you tell I used to be a Creative Memories consultant?

If I recall correctly, you posted some cool scrapbook pages you had done a while back. Maybe you could send your daughter over to Grandma's to work on scrapbooking.

Being a Creative Memories consultant -- not one of my better ideas.

This involved in-home scrapbooking parties. I really enjoyed helping people with page designs/layouts, but guessing what products to have on hand for people to purchase and meeting the quarterly minimums set by the company was the difficult part. It got to be a financial drain pretty quickly. Not to mention too much to do along with having a full-time job.

I've been able to use up a lot of my supplies on my own albums, but haven't done much scrapbooking in the past year. Guess I got a little burned out. Maybe someday when I retire . . .

Lil G - I think I'll stick with having dogs as pets. Instead of mini-cows! I prefer seeing regular size cows in the field as I drive by, LOL.

Uma - I guess the spacers thing is just if his teeth fall out or needed to be pulled? I think I am going to avoid the dentist unless they fall out. I'm not sure. We just can't afford to go into credit card debt, again. It's so freeing to finally be free. Would they do the spacers on a 2yr old if his teeth came out? Wouldn't having all those missing teeth totally screw up his other teeth coming in?

Sorry you were sick. Lot of that going around lately.

What you missed here were the tumbling tumble weeds blowing through a ghosttown, mostly. Busy time of year, with parties, shopping, family in town, out on vacation, being sick, sick kids, etc... So it has been very quiet for the most part.

Hopefully things will liven up again after Christmas.

I haven't had fried potatoes in ages, Marita. And am not likely to anytime soon - my potatoes have all kinds of sprouts. Yuck. Into the trash they go. I didn't need those carbs anyway.

Pongo, I need to get my house cleaned too. Before my daughter arrives home on Thursday (yay!). Looks like lots of people are in holiday cleaning mode.

Hi Moo, happy Saturday!

Made the potatoes for my DD with extra virgin olive oil, and the eggs with some smart balance. She would make the Thin peeps people proud, she really lives the healthy lifestyle by choice and feels like she is not missing a thing.
She does have her occasional treats though, like cookies. (or carbs, in this case).

Just sitting down for a bit, then I am making some for DH and me with salt pork, YUM!
