Marita, thanks for reading!! She really was hesitant to post it. If anybody else would be willing to stop by and read, it's KarenP99's Trip Report .
Ash, I didn't watch either. I heard at the grocery store (from the deli girl) that the Pats were down 17-7. Then by the time I got in the car and was on the way home, they were up 19-17 and I think that's how it ended.
In OTHER news -- had the living CARP scared out of me. Today. Was in the kitchen, minding my own business when "BOOM!" CRASH!!!! HUGE noise from upstairs. I go flying up there to see what's up (or down) and in the girls' room see ...
An open window.
An empty room.
Oh. MY. God.
Conor comes screaming in from the driveway where he was riding his bike "MOM! The air conditioner fell out of the window!!" I passed Sydney on my way up the stairs.
WHERE is Piper???
Panic, sweat, heart pounding --- and I start to yell her name. She's nowhere. I yell "Piper I need to see you to know if you're OK!"
She steps out from her closet, and bursts into tears.
"I'm soooooooory! I just wanted fresh air and I didn't know there was no screen in that window!"
((ok, ignoring the fact that a SCREEN wouldn't have kept the AC from falling out ...))
Meanwhile the cord is still firmly plugged in, the AC unit had fallen onto the roof below and bounced off -- so it was hanging about 5 feet off the front porch.
I am so, so thankful that my little girl did not fall out with it, and that nobody was underneath, and that the stinkin' cord is so darn strong, apparently.
And could just about SLAY my dh for not remembering to put in the little bolt thingies that keep the window from being opened while the unit is in place.
But most of all thankful that it all ended OK.
