OMG, I'm in Lou's yearbook, page 225!

But how do I get there? links won't work!

I was considering it a wasted shopping trip today.....

Picky teen son that didn't find shoes he wanted

Picky me that couldn't find jeans - I hate shopping for jeans :guilty:

However - I didn't have to fix breakfast, lunch or supper. So alls good :lmao:

Kimmie, I read your sis's trippie today, it was great!

Talent runs in the family, obviously....

KarenP99, for anyone who wants to check it out.

Hi Kimmie. Go Pats!!!! Didn't watch the game, although it was certainly ON in my house. I got to spend 3 hours today reading Brian's summer reading book. He's got a test tomorrow and had a big study guide to complete. He was not giving me enough confidence of his knowledge, so I decided to read it so I could help prepare him. All 200+ pages of it. As it turns out, he was pretty up on it. But I'm still glad I read it so I could nudge his memory a bit.

Horsey, Hi!! And Hi to Twinkie, Jami, Minnie, Erin (nice avatars!), Rhonda, Mark & the Magic Magnet, Haley (at AI!!), Marita (have a great trip), and, of course, the birthday clown, er, boy LOU.

It's Sunday night. Blech. But only 19 days til WDW. Yay!!!!!! I need this trip. Big Time.

Good evening Vikings.

I've had a carpy day. Really.

Came here for the funny.

Marita ~ no hill for a climber. And, here's a clue: look at my first tag.

Loved all the clown pics/cakes/books for Lou. What a special guy!

Loved the bling four our dear ghostwriter. Mucho talent - really really.

Hello to everyone . . .

Kitty~ Is there an emergency vet you can take her to? I hate to think of animals in distress but I'm sure you are keeping a close eye on her. Has she been having problems? Prayers and Pixie Dust heading your way.

OMG, I'm dead!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2: :lmao:

and only Friday my vietnamese nail guy asked me if i was Japanese!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amy, sorry you had a bad day. Hope whatever troubles you have will get better.

I'm back from my trip north to the Silver Lake sand dunes. It was pretty chilly and cloudy, so we didn't stay long. But we had a great bumpity, bumpity ride in the Jeep and got to sit by Lake Michigan for a bit. We decided to forgo the forest trails in favor of doing a little sightseeing in a couple of the coastal towns.

Thanks for not posting up too big a storm!

Happy birthday wishes to Lou!!!

Here's another clown for ya, you thread juggling master:

Also want to wish Chappie's son a :bday:

Go for the WOO HOOTY, Marita!!

Sorry to hear you've had a wolley day, Amy. Hope tomorrow is better.

Do I get to be a Dis Veteran? after 34 years, 1 month, and 3 weeks??????

Hey Kitty, I hope your evening and your tomorrow are better than today was. ((smooch))

Marita, thanks for reading!! She really was hesitant to post it. If anybody else would be willing to stop by and read, it's KarenP99's Trip Report .

Ash, I didn't watch either. I heard at the grocery store (from the deli girl) that the Pats were down 17-7. Then by the time I got in the car and was on the way home, they were up 19-17 and I think that's how it ended.

In OTHER news -- had the living CARP scared out of me. Today. Was in the kitchen, minding my own business when "BOOM!" CRASH!!!! HUGE noise from upstairs. I go flying up there to see what's up (or down) and in the girls' room see ...

An open window.

An empty room.

Oh. MY. God.

Conor comes screaming in from the driveway where he was riding his bike "MOM! The air conditioner fell out of the window!!" I passed Sydney on my way up the stairs.

WHERE is Piper???

Panic, sweat, heart pounding --- and I start to yell her name. She's nowhere. I yell "Piper I need to see you to know if you're OK!"

She steps out from her closet, and bursts into tears.

"I'm soooooooory! I just wanted fresh air and I didn't know there was no screen in that window!"

((ok, ignoring the fact that a SCREEN wouldn't have kept the AC from falling out ...))

Meanwhile the cord is still firmly plugged in, the AC unit had fallen onto the roof below and bounced off -- so it was hanging about 5 feet off the front porch.

I am so, so thankful that my little girl did not fall out with it, and that nobody was underneath, and that the stinkin' cord is so darn strong, apparently.

And could just about SLAY my dh for not remembering to put in the little bolt thingies that keep the window from being opened while the unit is in place.

But most of all thankful that it all ended OK.

So, I hope everyone has a blessed Patriot's Day today (Monday rather). Hug the ones you love a little tighter today.

:grouphug:

OMG I am just glad that it wasn't Piper that fell out the window... how scary!

Kimmie!!!

I bet that scared 20 years off your life!!! I was just watching something the other day about Eric Clapton's little boy.

We just can never be too vigilant when it come to our babies!!!
