Reading, seeing and hearing Part 3

Bless all you mommies who sent the little ones to school today. I will be seriously feeling your pain this time next week. I am ready for my boys to take a break from each other, but I will surely miss them. My youngest has developed a new 'nervous habit' of sniffing his fingers. It is seriously strange and I know he's going to start off Kindergarten with some funny looks. Poor thing, he just can't stop!

I got an email picture from a friend of ours, she said Typhoon Lagoon was a little crowded.

Haley and La2, how did the first school morning go? Hope all are happy and having fun!

Hey Ash, thanks for asking.

She did better than I did this morning. But I'm leaving work early and I'm going to pick them up from school today. Can't wait to get the scoop on her day. DS is in 3rd grade and he is an old pro at this school thing. He didn't blink an eye and was giving her the low down on everything. It was really cute.

The only thing she was worried about was her lunch number. They are all assigned a 5 digit meal account number and they punch it into a computer when they get their lunch. She's really worried about messing it up. She said "Mommy when you leave me, who is going to help me remember my number?" I told her not to worry and that the teachers would help her with it, along with anything else she might need help with. That seemed to calm her down some.

I'll let yall know how it went.

Frickles: Love the Typhoon Lagoon pic. It does look pretty crowded there.

Got to the school at 7:20. Walked the kids in, took pictures...
Almost made it to the door.
Then got suckered into helping with some stuff.
Got home at 10:20...

I need a nap. And I miss my babies a little. Tempted to go have lunch with them today. You would think by now I would be used to this...

Haley, what grades are yours in? Max is in 3rd right? What about Sophia?

Howdy all,

Just returned from a celebratory lunch with Mark and Wesley. Wesley's arm was "downgraded" from a cast to a splint today. Two weeks of that, then... nothing, I guess. Which makes me a little nervous. Wesley told Mark he wanted to go to Disney World today. For getting his cast off and all. Too bad it's a Monday, huh?

All you poor mommies, sending your babes off to school... :guilty: Wesley starts next Monday. But it is still just a half day, and we are used to that. Next year is when I will be a basketcase.

We're in for the meet chat. If we survive Pre-School Open House.

I know I missed a bunch of stuff... I've had a headache for four days now, and I'm not thinking clearly. It's unfortunate that I'm having to do a lot of thinking at work today. Very unfortunate. So to everyone/everything that I missed... well, I didn't *miss*, I read it all... it's just remembering what to respond to that is causing me the trouble... Hugs, love, mushy stuff, mad props, mad skillz...take whichever is appropriate. Does that cover it all??

Also, thanks for sending out the email on the chat. I haven't got mine yet but not sure if I'm on the list. PM'd Hailey earlier today.

Yesterday at the rink - I was helping at the competition again - A coach and skater was waiting to "take the ice for their 5 minute warmup" and the coach was discussing the fact that this boy was leaving for Disney this week. This was me: :listen: All I could think of was "Skater, change direction!" Hee-hee.

Gotta go clean up the house.

Later!

I let my DD try on her new school uniform: navy pleated skort and red polo...

I wish. I think I just stepped into the DISBoard Twilight Zone for a moment!

Either that or it was punishment for being mostly absent last weekend!
