Very busy day for me today, bleh! I have a 4 hr meeting at 9 (of which I hope to blow off 3 of the 4 hrs ) and another 2 hrs at 4.

Not much play for me, I'm afraid. However, the bat phone is armed and ready, so those of you in the know, PLEASE use it!!!! By call or email. I BEG you!!! Meetings are sooooo tedious.

I was awake with you guys - til 3 AM actually. But not much in the mood for posting. Remember the lady back in April who was dying and I was spending much time with the family helping htem through it? Well, the dad is right there now too. Got home after 1 and just sat here winding down til 3. Gotta go back this morning.

Looking forward to the Sonny's meet! Nicole Marie, Amy, see y'al there. I would post to YAK, but she won't see it. Maybe we should all ignore her seeing as how she is on her way to the Happiest Place on Earth.

Sleepydog - Maybe I'm a little slow, but what does CHAOS stand for? I can't continue your report until I know. It makes me think I'm missing something big that will make the report even funnier. I'm enjoying it, by the way.

NM, I believe he was alluding to the organization of bad guys from the old Get Smart TV show. Of course this is only speculation since the said organization was KAOS (not CHAOS). And BTW, KAOS was not an acronym so it didn't stand for anything. If he had used KAOS in his TR that probably would have violated some copywrite law.

Brandt...I know this is late but youposted the exact bag that I want. And by the way...I saw the monogramming in store for the new Coach bags, I hate it. Just my opinion. No offense meant if you got anything that was monogrammed.

OK, I'm 5 pages back, but I had to respond - I hated it, too! It looked so cheap. I wondered how on earth they were going to be able to do it in the store - I think I was expecting a machine like they write your name on Mickey ears

I moved onto 007 by age 7 or 8, and still really dig him.....all this talk of espionage...je suis tres stimulante....oui, oui.....

Yes, jdub, it was an allusion. Yes, KAOS was not a true acronym (though some have claimed it meant Killing And Other Stuff--I disagree). No, wasn't too worried about copyright laws since I'm wanted in dozen states already for other things. And, the new Bond cometh soon. . .

Tink..Sorry to hear about your DS. Isn't this the age they start getting interested in stuff like that? My nephew went thru a phase like this as well. His parents nearly killed him. I think it upset his Mom more than his Dad. How old is he again? 12??? Hang on, these are the rough years and then it will get easier...... I think. At least that's what I keep telling myself.

Saw POTC last night. LATE last night. I won't talk about it. I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it. I will say that I didn't stay for the credits. CRAP !!! It was 1:10am and I was bloody tired. I should have known better than to leave before all the credits rolled. I should be shot or made to drink buttloads of Rum!!

and the most important of all is if I eat a bag of chips, all the oreos, a dill pickle, 2 yoo hoos, and a Pop tart before I go to bed.....do the calories count if I take the trash out and no one sees the evidence

I'm back. For one hour only. Until next dreaded meeting.
Bleh. Plus, I think I saw Noah on my way back to the office. Pretty sure. Old guy, long grey beard. Looking for an ark????

Anyway. JW. Would that I could have slept thru said first meeting. Alas. To expand~ said meeting was actually a training session for volunteers to learn to be tutors to K-3 kids from low socio-economic neighborhoods. And. I was co-conducting. Thusly. No sleeping at this one!!

We drove 4,00 miles in two weeks.

That amounts to 11 states and 2 Canadian provinces.

Lost my camera on day one at a rest stop in Arkansas, so no pics until we got to the Grandparents about a week later. Then we borrowed a camera for the trip home. Which was a good thing as I took (read: drug) my kids to a Viking Ship just outside of Fargo, ND. I will post pics of the little darlings soon.

Here's a quick Croc report:

The further north I got, the fewer Crocs I saw. I think that in three days we spent at the Minnesota/Ontario border I only saw 2 or 3 other people wearing them. The most interesting thing was that when we were in Kansas City the only people wearing them were kids. So, I looked like an overgrown kid at the children's museum.

On another note NPR had Ask A Ninja review POTC II (click here), it was quite funny.
