We'll be arriving early to get a BG and rope drop MFSR. Since we'll have two little kids with us, I'm trying to anticipate the logistics if one of them needs the restroom while we're waiting to get in. Where are the bathrooms in that area, and how easy (or not) are they to get to / get back to your group waiting in the crowd?

There are 2 restroom facilities outside of the park, one by thr skyliner station, the other next to thr guest relation outside window, both require you to go out of the security bubble so you would have ri go through bag check again if you use them.

Just got BG 4. Key is to open the app 10 seconds to 7. Works better than refresh.

How long does it usually take your app to open? Mine normally takes 15-30 seconds before I can click the Learn More button. (Antique iPhone 5s)

I saw on Facebook today that backups are 78 and above. Definitely reducing the number of guaranteed groups.

I didn’t get the backup message until a few seconds after 7:03. This happened to me two days ago, too. I didn’t get the message until 7:04. And both times I didn’t get the backup message until I shut the app and re-opened it to see what would happen. I consistently toggled between ”Find Out More” and “Join a Boarding Group” and selecting my people. So, I don’t know if my place was being “held” as long as I stayed in the app or what?

Unless they have rearranged things recently, the restrooms next to the guest relations window are past security. Our family members have used those while waiting for the tapstiles to open and have not had to go through security again.

15 seconds is about average for most

I cant figure out if that is a good thing or a bad thing. Reducing the number of BGs means we are running well and slowly working towards Fastpass and lines or the ride is having issues

My practice this morning shows how perfect timing can be out of your control. I hit “Show More” just as the time hit 6:00 (Central Time) and the red button was there. When I hit the button it took several seconds for my family and friends group to pop up, so by the time I selected the two other family members who will be on the upcoming trip and at DHS at opening, it was probably 10 -15 seconds after time. Plenty fast to get a BG, but probably not one of the top 30 or 40.

I’m pretty sure we used them Marathon weekend, but definitely in early November.

If my memory is failing I stand corrected.

To me they are just covering their backs to not have to give out too many guest recovery fp and tickets if they don't get to ride. They're running through a lot of bg so it doesn't really matter if it's a regular or backup bg to the guest

Mine takes about 45 seconds to load and then freezes on main page for about 15 seconds. But then I have a 5s so app might be struggling.

So on our first day we had 3 phones on wifi. 1 on LTE. We wanted an early boarding group. Nobody connected except me at 7:01 or so. Got group 98 or 97. Can’t remember.

2nd day wanted a later group as we had Animal Kingdom FPS. My daughters phone lit up red right way before any cheering.i said “NOOO”. Shut her phone off. My phone lit up. Closed app. 3Rd daughter phone lit up. She hit button before I told her no. We got group 77. We missed g the safari.

Today. Wanted a later BG. But 2 of us lit up red right away. Exited app. Re entered. Hit red button. Got group 67. Removed this group. Got group 87. Exited this group. Got group 91. Exited group. Gonna stay with group 93.
