Sharing our story from today.

Walked down to bus stop at 5:55 POP
Bus pulled up about 2 minutes later.
Arrived and through security quickly

park open about 6:25
Stood on sunset.
DD and I she did no WiFi while I did use it. She got inwith BG 20!

Our group finally got called about 9:15. Guess they had issues.
had a FP then boarded at 9:56. Off Rise 36. Walked through queue with only a few short stops.

we both really enjoyed it and was worth our early morning. We did go down to bus early just in case we had to wait, but got lucky.
lots of people were waiting for ride service too.

thank you for all the tips. They really do work!

Anyone else picturing the ride operators logging in at 7am to see what time they can start the ride while we are refreshing are phones to see what BG we get? They probably have a thread going on “why the ride didn’t start“ or ”what to do when Bob does start sequence wrong“ or “have his mom start the ride from home”

Ok, gotta ask cause I'm curious, if y'alls plans were to sign up and turn around and leave why did you get to the park so very early? Just standing around waiting. You could have come 30 min later. Are y'all just early risers and had nothing else to do?

And better yet, SHONEY'S!!!!???? Really? On purpose? LOL

Laugh away, the food at AoA has been absolutely inedible. That particular shoneys has a nice breakfast buffet with many options

Since you had to ask...

We left early to go back and grab the ecv I had to rent yesterday for my son after he was discharged from hospital after having a medical emergency.

Disney is not one size fits all & ship happens. How you rise above it is what counts. He had a wonderful day btw & encountered no judgmental people- there

FYI No Minnie adaptive vans run before 6:30 am. No gondola service & scooter wouldn’t fit in rental suv too heavy to lift anyway

Note that area behind us in the pic was filled with people to bag check. By the time we walked back to coffee place we had what I consider a short wait

arrival time is a YMMV situation

Did you see people disembarking? They start running it early for testing but there are no guests on board
No passengers, were empty gondolas this am after 6 Amish when we arrived. had to grab a WC in parking lot could see clearly

So would I be able to take an uber to Hollywood studios around 5:45 from the contemporary and be able to make it before a 7:00 am park opening?

Oh, I do understand about AoA food. I've thrown meals away there and Pop. Awful stuff.

For those with poor eyesight...I hid what I felt were a bunch of unnecessary columns. We know the park opens the gates ahead of time, We know BGs are released at park open, etc. So hopefully this is a little easier to read:

@SouthFayetteFan I'm almost embarrassed to admit how much I loved that song when I was, ahem, younger. I totally rapped your lyrics as I was reading it to my dh. I don't think you'll be able to top this one! :thanks:
One might say that I took it "To the Extreme" tonight. That particular instance of the chart was pretty "Mind Blowin'" if you catch my drift. ;) It's almost "Hard to Swallow" how awesome these chart posts are...

To make this remotely on topic before @rteetz eats me alive... It was a really good day for RotR. The ride experienced significant delays at park opening but appeared to be consistent and reliable the rest of the day and still accommodated a lot of BGs!

I am so worried I won't get to ride. I will only have one day to try and it is a Sunday, which seems to be the worse day of the week. Crowd level 6 and I will be on a large rented mobility scooter. Sadly I feel like if there are others scooters at the bus stop that morning before me and I have to wait for a second bus, I may well be out of luck in getting there on time. Even once there, since I will be solo, I think my odds may not be as good as families with many people trying, if my cheap phone and service even connects. Sigh, the stress is high with this one. I am definitely going to need the force to be with me.

I wanted to thank all of you for your collaborative help on this. I’ve been reading the threads for months now in anticipation of our trip, which is drawing to a close. I was able to successfully get regular boarding groups both days we were here with minimal stress and hassle despite pretty full itineraries. Both of my kids who wanted to ride were able to, and the youngest still feels a sense of accomplishment at having “escaped.”

thanks again to the entire community. I know this all feels very large, but in conversations with a lot of people at the parks it’s amazing how unaware the majority of people are on these tips. I tried to impart them to as many people as possible I came across IRL.
Thanks again!

Again, if we could just stay on topic. It's hard trying to moderate the flow of this thread that moves so quickly and trying to keep it focused so people can find the answers quickly without having to go through multiple posts that have nothing to do with the topic at hand.
Although @rteetz is a great help he is not a moderator on this board and can't delete or moderate comments

Just do your best and remember Guest relations and the Guest Experience Team can help you if you don't want to rely on your phone
You are one with The Force and The Force is with you

Just got BG 30 from the comfort of my own bed at the Swan hotel room. Tapped in around 6:30AM, turned right around and caught the boat back to the hotel. Even though FOUR separate guest services reps told me you have to physically in the park to join a BG, they are wrong, you only have to tap in. Thanks to the select few on this board that confirmed this trick!

Hi all! Left Hilton Springs at 5:45am, got to HS at 5:58. Lined up and gates opened at 6:20am. Hit the app at 6:59am on ATT data, DH on wifi. BG wouldn't light up for me. DH got through first BG 69. I was all flustered and stood bear a CM. He wasn't much help to me when app glitched.
Can you guys tell me what time groups 60ish have boarded?
