Seriously, do posters read RotR planning threads if they are planning to ride RotR?

Planning on Studios on Thursday (6am open) thanks to massive pixie dust from an ‘other’ DISer.

Recap for a 6a open:
• Parking lot open at 4:30a
• Restrooms located next to outside GR window and at Skyliner station.
• All of my party will enter Studios before joining a BG at 6a.

*Will be using only one MDX account where all 3 Profiles are listed - no one is ‘linked’ from another MDX. It took some linking of unlinked MBs, 1 new Profile, and reassigning the comps to exactly who needs them and we are now good to go! Not sure if it speeds up BG joining so just trying it out as I had time to do all the adjustments.

@yulilin3 ~ Will look for Steph if we are still in SWGE in the evening.

When the morning starts on a BG that's not 1, does that possibly mean that a VIP group got in first? I think thrill data reported first BG was 13 today.

There is no VIP access to RotR. Been confirmed in another thread for the Private VIP tours.

Good info. We know that a travel group got preferred access last week so just curious if there are smaller versions of those kinds of things going on before open that result in BGs prior to the first ones distributed from the VQ.

Initial BGs reportedly filled by 7:35am. We're half way through the initial BGs being called at 11am, so could be into the backups again by 3-4pm barring issues. It feels like their goal on a perfect day is to call all backup BGs two hours before close.

For our experience....
Left Coronado Springs via bus at 6:05
Stood in pouring rain behind 2nd booths
Tapped in at 6:45
Walked to Batuu
Got in SR Line
Accessed BG at 7:00 and got Boarding Group 10
Finished piloting the Falcon and the rode ROTR
Amazing experience

I doubt it's that, because they didn't open the VQ until the travel group event was over. I believe they didn't even let folks into the park until it was over. So that's likely not why the BGs don't start at 1.

Since the park opened around 6:30am today, would be interesting to hear if anyone could see guests exiting RotR before 7am.

Just for people trying to gauge timing, today’s first group was group 10. Yesterday’s was group 1.

I’m in BG 81. Anyone know roughly when I may be called? Trying to decide if I should go back to wilderness lodge and nap for a few hours!

At least today:

• If you claimed a BG at official opening (7am) [#10-79], your BG was called before noon
• If you claimed a BG between 7:05-7:35am [#80-124], your BG was called between 12-4pm
• If you claimed a BG between 7:35-9:25am [#125-190], you got a backup BG called between 4-9pm
• If you arrived in the park after 9:25am you were out of luck for RotR

This suggests there are at least 7K in the park at 7am, another 5K by 7:35am, and another 6-7K entering over the next 1 hr 50 mins. (Does not include DHS guests without plans to ride RotR.)

Very interesting! I would think smaller groups have a slight advantage over large parties since there is less scrolling and tapping. I am linked with all of my relatives who have their own individual accounts. I wonder if I should restructure accounts for the spring? I’ll probably end up losing my AP or something
