If it’s the official schedule you’re seeing, it will be that posted time. If they still use boarding groups then, you won’t be able to get one until 9AM even if they let you in at 8:30.

no, sorry I wasn't clear - I know they keep changing the official park opening times and often a 9am official park open will change to 8am instead. I guess I'm asking if a posted 9am start time would ever change as much as being a 7am official park open. Seems like a big jump to me.

How long has it been since it switched to 92? If it’s been longer than 15-20 minutes, I’d bet 99% they have another delay. It usually happens a couple times per day.

Thats not how it works. If you have multiple people checking, the probability of you getting a worse group decreases because there are more phones to be checking. If one person is looking for the whole group, if that one person has one hiccup with their phone or connection, that may push your ride time back 4 hours.

Just have multiple people check in the whole group with one login to MDE. There's no need to have this convoluted method that breaks up the group. For example, I'll be a group of 6 when I'm there on Wednesday. I will likely have 3-4 people attempt to get a boarding group but all of them will try for all 6 people. Also, they'll all be on the same login. I agree that you minimize risk of issues if you have multiple people trying but that doesn't mean you need to split up the group.

Chart question: Is "# of Reg BGs" the number of the last reg BG, or the count of reg BGs from the first to the last issued? Thx.

It’s funny you mention that. Last night when I was tweaking some things I changed that field to “Highest Reg BG#”. So to answer your question, it is the number of the last reg BG and will be clearer with tonight’s update.

Just to be clear - you got in line at 7:15 and didn’t ride until 11am? Did they give you a return FP or were you in line for much of this time?

Could I and my friend both select each other and make it to the final screen to finalize the group at the same time and choose the lowest? Or could it lock the other person out once a number is displayed?

I realize there's absolutely NO way to predict this - but our late April visit shows a DHS opening time of 9am. If you were a betting person, is there any possible way it'd open at 7am or do you think 8am is the most they'd jump?

It’s really impossible to say- but I’d guess that it very well might be 7 AM. That’s about 6 weeks after Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Train opens, and if so far in January is any indication, DHS is getting more visitors than I’ve ever seen it. SDD had about a 60 minute wait by 8 AM, with TSM at about 40. I know it was Sunday today, but DHS was pretty mobbed. After getting BGs and then bee lining to SDD and/or ToT, all of the food kiosks and coffee places had long lines of people. I had enough by 11:30 AM, although I did want to stay for Indiana Jones (love that show). Instead, I took a spin on the Skyliner and had some quiet time.

Only one person will have a BG displayed if you're all trying for the same group of people.

Got BG 117 last. Monday at 7:03. That group was called around 7 pm. We had already beat feet for home. Going to wait until the openi g moves to 8 am before giving it a other shot. Don't want to get up at 5 to do this again!

Why does it bother you if it is that important to somebody? I’d just left everybody do their own thing.

Oh, to be so zen lol. Majority of us feel compelled to stand on our heads to make it happen

To speed up the process for myself, I deleted everyone from my Friends and Family list except those vacationing with me.

Hmm, thinking not a good idea for me as I’m on dining & activities with different family members for April. Don’t want to chance messing anything up

or via a CM's assistance at the park's official opening time.

Where have the CMs been positioned first thing other than GR?

Can you access the blue umbrella GS CMs to left path near H&V pre park opening?

(Perhaps has been addressed on the disability boards) but thinking this process could be difficult to achieve for those with vision issues if they have to wait in line for assistance in joining a group

Only one person will have a BG displayed if you're all trying for the same group of people.

If this is the case, then the strategy of splitting your party, if you are comfortable trying to get a CM to combine your party's boarding groups (which I've had to do before with a friend), you will have multiple people obtaining separate boarding groups right at 7AM. As I said, this will increase the probability that you can go on earlier if you succeed in getting the boarding groups from one party merged to the rest of your family.
