I am trying to get some ideas together for Read Across America week. Long story short of it is, some teachers do a couple things with it, most don't, and in an attempt to put a little "fun" into school (to show reading should be celebrated) I am trying to come up with some fun, yet educational ideas.
So far, I have themed days to go with Dr. Seuss books, Wacky Wednesday, Sleep Book (PJ's), etc. And a reading log and maps so classes can literally "read across America."
Just wondering, does your children's school do anything special or out of the ordinary? Thanks.
