"Reach for the sky!" We're finally getting there in JAN 2012!!!TR LINK PG 69!

Ann, they aren't "officially out", but see my link in the first post at the top of the page and you will have your hours!!!
:thumbsup2

God, I must be really stupid......it might help if I would have scrolled down the page.....here I was thinking it was only the first week in Sept.....Duh!!!:rolleyes1

Hey just wondering how were you able to get operating hrs.for sept. It wouldn't let me get past aug. I really wanted to check the hrs.for our dec trip.:confused3

I usually save the operating hours link from the previous year or you just type in sept at the end of the url where the month goes, but this link Ijust grabbed from the main DIS page, someone posted it yesterday! :thumbsup2

First Disney Day!!! We called them Disney MOVIE Days last year, but we decided to give that up this year b/c they rarely actually watch the movies!

Case in point, I have no idea WHAT the movie was for today, some Disney movie about journals and coffee shops! :lmao: (help me out here Hope!)

So, we decorated like a coffee shop and the girls had hot cocoa and sweet coffee shop treats. Now, we are a little rusty for not having done this for a year (or maybe we just don't give a cr** anymore, LOL) so you'll have to excuse that I didn't get many pics.

I bribed the girls for the pics I did get...and this is what they gave me...

After they had their snack, they made journals of their own.

They decorated them with stickers (lots of Disney ones, naturally!) and then they played all afternoon while Hope and I sat on the deck talking Disney and drinking wine! I think that turned out just perfectly!

Oh I've missed reading about your Disney Days!!! Your little coffee shop looks awesome!!! So, the journals they made today, are they for keeping track at Disney??? How did those turn out???

The journals were cute, I should have taken a pic, but I forgot. Told you I'm rusty at this! I'm uploading one now and I'll add it to the post! (OK, I ADDED A PIC!) :thumbsup2

Oh and I'm not sure Savannah will use hers for Disney or not. She's really skiddish about Disney stuff right now. After planning all last year and not being able to go, I think she's really guarded about talking about the trip and maybe a little worried to get excited again. :sad1:

I WILL find a way to make this happen this year, I can't imagine putting her through that again.

Ack, you're way quicker than me- I haven't even had time to upload my pics yet!

The movie was a Disney Channel movie called Read it and Weep about a girl who's journal was lost, found by a publisher and turned into a book. Craziness ensues because she said mean things about other kids at school, etc. Typical Disney pre-teen fare. It really had nothing to do with coffee shops, I just figured books go along with bookstores and most bookstores have coffee shops- right? :rolleyes1

Too many days since I've updated! What a slacker!

Planning is going ok, I'm on edge a bit because we know the house we want to rent, but I need to wait until the tax return comes in and it's going to be a week late now because of an error that was made with Rey's ss#, it was off by a number. So I'm worried the house will rent on our week before next Friday when I can reserve it! I'm sure it won't, and if it does, it's not the end of the world, we'll find another house that's nice...but I want THIS one.

My training is going well, finally able to run outside b/c we've had some warmer weather! WOOT! :woohoo: Running outside is a different beast than running on a treadmill! I tend to run faster outside and I have to slow myself down or I run out of steam much quicker! I am doing about 2 1/2 miles outside, while I can do more on a treamill. Still, 5Ks aren't run on TMs, so I need to train outside. I'm loving it though b/c of my new toy! I got a Garmin, it's a GPS for runners basically! It tells me how far I've gone so I don't have to calculate and map out runs, I can just go and run! It also tells me my pace, just like a treadmill would, and keeps my time. I LOVE THIS THING! Best thing aside from my shoes that I could have gotten for my training! It's bulky, but I expected that with it being a GPS, but doesn't bother me when I run...

I also found out word has it they will not be including a MNSSHP ticket with the entry for the Halloween 5K. This is fine with me as last year they were ONLY for the Sunday party. BUT, it puts me into a planning tailspin b/c I would prefer to do the party our last night but have no clue if they will have one that night. It also messes up the rest of my touring, so I'm unsure of what I'll do until I get those October hours!

I hope everyone is doing well (and that there's actually still someone out there actually reading this!)

I'm nervous about the house too- in fact I tried to convince Robbie that I should just take the deposit out of savings even though we'd already decided that we wouldn't use any of our savings for vacations. He wasn't buying it. He's right of course but that just makes it all the more annoying.

I love that Garmin! I've purchased many cheap pedometers to try to motivate myself to walk w/o a treadmill and none of them have helped. That thing might do the trick! :thumbsup2

Yep, WAY better than a pedometer. I looked into them and then I realized that I didn't just want to know how many steps I took anyway, I wanted distance, time, and pace...it's like magic! I love it! :thumbsup2

I tried to convince Rey as well b/c I do have the $200 in the bank right now, but he told me it wouldn't be the right thing to do b/c something could happen or I might need the money in the next week. Damn rational men! :headache:

Just 6 days, surely no one will want our week before then?!?!? :scared:

IT'S OFFICIAL!!!!!! I booked the house rental today!!!! :woohoo:

It's non-refundable, so that makes it seem more real! I didn't want to wait until the end of the week and end up losing it and the State refund came in today, so Rey told me to go ahead and book it! I'll be paying it off Friday and then just have to work on tickets and food money!
I'm bouncing off the walls excited and need to share it here b/c my family isn't really as excited as me.

Savannah seems pleased, but she says I talk to much about Disney. Sigh. At least I know she's excited about the bedroom that she'll share with Kya, she was all over the Pooh theme!

Me, I'm excited about all of it (clearly) but a room to ourselves on vacation and that pool are top on my list!

WOOOOOT!! I'm excited too!!!!
 :cool1: :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:  :cool1: :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:  :cool1: :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:

My kids also think I think about Disney too much. :confused3 What do they know- they aren't complaining when we don't have to stand in long lines or fight massive crowds.

So, I signed up for my first race ever! It's a 4 mile run and it's on March 26th. That's just a month away! :scared1: I can run 3 now, so I have some training to do, but I think I can finish! I'm excited and terrified at the same time, but I want to get in a few races before I run in the Disney 5K so that I can really just enjoy that, get pics with the characters, and soak up all the Disney atmosphere instead of worrying about my time, how things work in a race, etc.

Other than that, this is a pretty lame update! I've been messing with my itinerary b/c I'm just not sure what day I want to go to the party and of course don't know for sure when the parties will be! In September they look like they will be Tuesdays and Fridays. I'm sure they will add Sunday and/or Thursday in October, but I have to wait for hours to come out. Either way, the party makes my touring harder b/c I can't do Rope Drop the day after and it messes up my days no matter where I put it! So, hoping for the hours to come out asap so I can figure it all out.

Hope & I are planning our next Disney Day for Monday, so stay tuned! You don't get to find out what the theme is until after we do it! I know, I've got you on the edge of your seats now, right? :lmao:

Somehow I missed the update about booking the house. That really does make the trip seem real:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: Also very exciting about your first race! You can definitely do it! The adrenaline of race day will keep you going! Can't wait for the report!

Thanks Jenny! I'm really excited!! Are you running the Wine & Dine in the fall or did I imagine reading that?!?!?

One of my friends on my trip report is trying to talk me into it, but I have to say it's doubtful. I don't really like the idea of a nighttime race. Plus I'm definitely running the half in January. I already have my reservation for that weekend. If I found some steal on airfare I could probably be convinced to go down for the Wine and Dine, but I don't see that happening.

Yep, I keep wanting to take the plunge and just do the W&D half, but I know it's not a good idea to do my first half in the dark! I really think I would be ready by then, but it will have to wait for the Princess next Feb. At least I'll have lots of training for next fall/winter, to keep me busy!
