Re-Allocating Points

I'm in the process of purchasing a small add-on contract which comes with a small amount of banked 2012 points (Aug UY). We have two trips planned in our 2013 UY using points from our existing contract (same UY), some of which are banked 2012's and the rest 2013's. We won't be able to use the banked points from the new contract before they expire. Is it possible to have MS switch out some of the 2013 pts. we booked with and use the banked 2012s from the new contract instead? Then I would bank the 2013 ones and use them in our 2014 UY. Both contracts are the same home resort.

Yes you can make the switch without losing the reservations.

Yep, did the exact same thing a couple of months ago after I closed on a resale. Same home resort, same UY. It had banked points. I called MS and before I could even finish explaining what I wanted to do the CM had done it and swapped out the banked points for current points for an upcoming reservation.

One note. When I passed ROFR and knew I would be wanting to do this with the new contract, I called MS and the CM told me I couldn't. She was very sure of herself to the point of being rude, telling me she's worked there for a decade and they NEVER have allowed this. Meanwhile, I had done it several times in the past and never had a problem.

So if you get a NO! from the CM you might have that same woman I first spoke with, so call back.
