Rawr. FAT legs.

Everyone's different and frankly, you'll just have to accept the way you are. If that's just how you're built and you're already skinny so you might not be able to change it.

I agree with those whose were talking about high school. I am a freshman. I am not the "skinniest" freshman nor the "largest". Whenever I see other kids who are smaller than I am, I get a little self-conscience but then I remember that my friends like me who I am. So really, I don't care what others think of me. The only reason I would consider myself "fat" is when I know I haven't worked out or I've eaten junk food. Then I'll wanna lose weight. Right now, I don't think I am fat. Could I lose a few pounds? Sure. Will I? Probably just for volleyball and to feel better about myself. But I am not doing to make others think of me differently. You need to accept yourself. I started accepting my body image a few months ago. I'll admit it. I have broad shoulders and a bigger chest but I'll deal with it. I'm built bigger. But so is my mom so its genes.

If you are still complaining that you're "fat", then you need help. You are a perfectly healthy girl who is just going through a stage. We are teenage girls. We all know how you feel. We've all been through it once or twice. But look, we've survived. And you will too!

I am sorry you feel insecure about yourself, but you have to start to love yourself the way you are. Don't change yourself to look like everyone else. I think you are at a healthy size and I would not change that. Everyone in life is built different and you have to accept that.

If you don't mind me asking, but how old are you?

She doesn't need to go on a diet. She isn't unhealthy.

As far as I am concerned, if you're unhappy with your weight, and you want to lose some, you should go on a diet. I didn't say "go starve yourself". I'm healthy, my bmi is fine, and I'm on a diet. There is nothing wrong with dieting.

If you're healthy, you wouldn't need to diet. Exercise is better to tone up and get into shape. :)

There is nothing wrong with eating healthy on a daily basis.

There is something wrong with dieting on a daily basis.

Dieting is eating to loose weight. It's not healthy to be constantly loosing weight.

Healthy eating is to maintain your weight and good health.

There is a difference.

I think of dieting as eating healthy while exercising to loose weight.. But everyone has their own opinions. =D

I feel the same way. To me, dieting includes exercising. And Cassidy, I don't know you personally so I'm not saying you need to loose weight. I just mean that if you are unhappy with your body, the most obvious suggestion is to diet.

I guess everyone has their own opinions on dieting.

I see dieting as changing your eating habits with intent to lose weight.

Eating healthy with intent to be healthy is not dieting, just wanting to be healthier.

If you are unhappy with the way you look, exercise to firm up but don't starve yourself.

If you are at a healthy weight there is no reason you should be dieting to LOSE weight. It's not smart and can lead to some very unhealthy habits. Many girls (and guys) start out dieting and it becomes an addiction of some sort.

::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

If you want to tone up your thighs, do leg excercises.

Imagine a 12 year old.. In a size 7 (short) waltzing around all day?

What?
That's right you cant imagine it, its so highly disturbing to your eyes NO ONE wants to imagine it.

Well, Apparently that highly disturbing picture..Is me.

See I as being a (aww come on I'm so close to being 13) 12 year old..its unusual to be wearing a 7. Most girls my age..wear....0's or...double 0's...its just sad
BUT

I promised myself I would NEVER diet. If people don't love me for me (even if i am ...a..thunder thighs) then I will die alone.

I do not care what people think of me
I honestly don't.

If you ever met me and decided "whoa that's the ugliest, fattest thing Ive-" well...no.. It might bother me a little.

BUT

I'm aware of it!

Basically what I'm trying to say is :

Never EVER (and I mean EVER) get down by your apparence. There are WAY more important things to enjoy, then what your eyes see.

You're not alone
and I bet you're not fat :).

Dieting..is NEVER the answer.

Say I'm way overweight. And I'm uncomfortable about myself. Are you saying I shouldn't diet? Some people need to lose weight so they can live longer. Dieting is the answer in many, many cases. And size 7 at the age of 12 is not that big. I wear a 5/6 short, and I'm 13. I don't think anyone would consider me fat.

Generally, if you want to lose weight, you should try eating smaller meals, more often that are healthy.
Healthy eating and exercising should be balanced. You shouldn't stop eating and exercising a lot, and you shouldn't eat a lot, etc..
Everything in moderation.

You're on a diet at age 13? In my opinion that is a little young to be worrying about a diet. If dieting helps you feel healthier, thats fine I'm not here to judge it just seems like your a little young to be on a diet.

ETA: and to add onto what BabyJustrun said:

For anyone who wants to eat less and exercise more to lose weight:
Don't do it! You need to eat to burn calories. If you don't eat and you exercise a lot you don't loose weight.

I agree. Basically, I consider dieting eating less, and eating more healthy. I do not think dieting is starving yourself. I've done that before, and I know it's not healthy. Plus, you don't even lose weight when you do it.
