Today is EMH at Disney Studios. We are up and ready by 7am and meet our friends in the lobby of WL. When we get to the bus stop, the MGM bus is pulling up and we board along with a bus load of other people. This is good because we won't be stopping by FW this trip. We arrive at MGM and get in line. After we get in we make a bee line towards RNR and TOT. No one wants to ride TOT except me so I grab a FastPass. Then DW and I leave the kids with our friend, and head to RNR. I love this ride, but this is DW's first time as last year she was pregnant with DS and couldn't ride. Everything went great, we walked right in and even got "Sweet Emotion" as our limo. DW loved this ride as well. After we got off RNR, our friends wanted to head over to Indiana Jones, so we split up and were going to meet at the muppets later. We walked over to the Playhouse Disney show and it wasn't time for the first show, so I headed back to TOT for my FP and Dw waited in the shade. TOT was great. Better than last year. I loved the new drops and the fact that the lap bars are gone and nothing but seat belts to hold you in.
After TOT, we then head to Playhouse Disney again and get in line for the first show. This is one of DD and DS's favorites. I know DS is only 5 months old but everytime it is on at home, he is glued to the TV. We all enjoyed the show, although DW and I would rather have some seats, the floor gets rough for us older folks after awhile. Time to meet our friends at the Muppets. On our way, we stop at the Star Wars speeder for a photo op for the scrapbook. As we get to Muppets, we see our friends sitting on the bench out front, oops, guess we are a few minutes late. Oh well, we enter and walk right in to the staging area. This has been one of DW and I's favorites ever since our Honeymoon back in 1994. DD also likes this show. It is so much fun to watch her reach out to try and touch stuff and take her glasses off to see the difference.
After the muppets, we head into Pizza Planet to have some lunch. Nothing special, just an arcade that has food or at least that is our opinion. From here our friends are going to Star Tours and we are heading to Beauty and the Beast. We missed this show last year because it was only playing on certain days. It was a good show, but for me, I would have rather sat and listened to 4 for a dollar. They were awsome. After the show, we don't really care to do anything else, did I mention that MGM is our least favorite park? But I do remember one thing I would like to try, photos with Sorcerer Mickey. So we head over to that area and get in line. Sorcerer Mickey is my favorite character. This is nice, killing time until we meet our friends, standing in air condition and meeting the mouse, again! When we get to our turn, we ask if he would hold DS for the photo and he agrees. DS can not take his eyes off of Mickey to even look at the camera for the photo, but who cares. A photo of Sorcerer Mickey and my kids without one of us having to be in the photo, priceless. After the photo, we head to the big hat to meet up. Oh man, here comes the Pooh characters. We still need Piglet ince we got Pooh, Eeyore and Tigger yesterday, so I follow him to his spot to be first in line. Now I don't complain a lot when on vacation but here is my turn. As DD is getting her book signed, a foreign man and his daughter walk past the line and she stands beside Piglet and takes a photo. I can't imagine what it looks like with her standing there and Piglet signing my DD's book. Then when DD turns so that I can get the photo of her and Piglet, another child walks up and stands there too. Enough is enough, I tell the child he needs to move so that I can get a picture and the CM turns and sees him and also asks him to move on. Then I hear his mom (I assume) calling for him and she is way over in another line. I try to teach my child manners and courtesy and it bugs me when others don't. Sorry, back off the soap box. Time to head back to the lodge.
During our break today, instead of swimming, DD and I decide to rent a mouseboat for awhile. We go out to the docks and get our equipment and get us a boat. We pull out and have the CM snap our photo. We then head out to sea. They were OK, but DD and I pretty much maxed out the limit so speed was not our friend today. We tried to go over to seven seas lagoon and look at the Poly and Grand Floridian but it looked like a storm was coming so they were keeping everyone in their respected waters. So we just rode around and had fun making real sharp turns. DD thought that was the coolest. OK, we have had enough, head in and find out we were only out for 20 minutes. Glad I didn't do the length of stay plan. The CM gave me the AAA rate since we didn't make it a full half hour, bonus. It never started raining but it sure was dark.
It is now 5pm and we all meet up again in the lobby to head to MK for the evening. We have a mini DIS meet at 9:30pm. When we get to MK we wonder how much we will get done with the impending storms coming. We go over to TomorrowLand and get a turkey leg for dinner. A must for every trip we take. From here we head to AdventureLand, our friends want to ride Jungle Cruise. While we wait for them, DD and I get on Aladdin since there is no wait. When we get off, our friends are back, turns out they are closing Jungle Cruise due to weather. We then head towards Pirates since we missed this last year as well. Wasn't sure how DD would like it since it is kinda dark, but turned out she loved it and wanted to do it again, but we never got back around to it. We then strolled over to FantasyLand so that our friends could go to toontown while we went to the DIS meet. On our way, the kids had to ride Cindy's Carrousel. Then we headed to the Plaza Pavillion while our friends went to Toontown and TomorrowLand. We were supposed to have a mini DIS meet at 9:30, well at 9:40 I hadn't seen a soul. I walked around looking for anything Lime Grren three times and nothing. I was headed back to our table to tell DW we could go when two others walked by and one had a lime green Mickey Head. So we did meet MaryJ and Bobcat, but no one else showed up and there were a lot of people saying they would be there. Don't know if the threat of rain kept them away or what. Well, after we talked for about 15 minutes, we had to meet our friends, and THEN the skys opened up. It poured for about 30 minutes. Once it let up, we headed for the lodge and a much needed rest. Tomorrow, back to AK to hit the missed attractions.
