I'm a disney regular last few years but this is the first time I'm going with a kid. My son will be 8 months old and I just wanted to know what some other parents think. We are on the regular DDP. We plan on doing rider swap for some rides but also plan on doing all the children's rides that he can go on. We are there from December 16-22 so excessive heat shouldn't be an issue

Day 1: arrive MCO 12pm check in at POFQ and head to Epcot. Do future world for about 3-4 hours, fast passes for Soarin, Nemo and Maelstrom dinner at Chefs de France and illuminations

Day 2: breakfast at Chef Mickeys then head over to MK. Fast passes for Peter Pan, Space mountain and Mine train. Leave MK at around 4 and do Epcot world showcase. Grab some Tangerine cafe for dinner and I will drink while mommy is a responsible parent.

Day 3: DHS for around 11am, grab lunch at one of the QS there. Fast passes for Rockin roller coaster, Tower of Terror and do The little Mermaid show and Beauty and the Beast show. Late dinner in downtown Disney's Paradiso 37.

Day 4: Go to MK around 11, eat a QS lunch. Fast passes for Winnie the Pooh, The little mermaid, splash mountain. Dinner at Ohana and straight back to MK for MVMCP.

Day 5: AK around 11, eat a QS lunch. Fast passes for Everest and see A bugs life and the Lion king show. Dinner at Sanaa around 6 then a movie back at the resort.

Day 6: MK around 10. Do as many rides as we can and QS there. Head over to Epcot around 4 and enjoy our final night eating at Biergarten.

I hope it's not too much for my son. He passes out in the stroller now but I'm sure things will change as he gets older. Opinions?

My biggest concern is my son being overtired. This is why I figured I ask other parents

Giving you a bump here, Antonio. Maybe edit your thread title a bit to reflect your main question here, your son making it through. Just a thought.

Have a great trip.

The main thing with a baby on vacationing is being flexible ... You'll know if he needs hotel time or is over tired. Go with your plans and let your son be your parenting guide : )

I wouldn't count on your son being able to sit through all of those shows, and they may be loud for him.

The parades and any performances outside that don't require admission are a good bet because if your son decides he's had enough it's easy to move onto the next activity.

If you get any hot days some pool time would probably be fun for the baby.

You do seem to have a lot of running around for an 8 month old but if he is a good stroller napper he may sleep through much of it. I think you may be trying very hard to do all your favorites since you are a WDW veteran but you should be prepared to scrap things if he is clearly not enjoying himself. This trip you should expect to take it slower, let him out to crawl around and explore.

Unless he is asleep your son at 8mo is not going to be happy to just sit while you and your wife go on rides and swap, but there are nearby attractions that the other parent could take him on during the wait.

If possible I would switch your Everest FPs for the Safari. An 8 month old is not likely to enjoy a Bug's Life (at least my didn't), and you and your wife can go through the single riders line on Everest. Out of everything your son will most likely be interested in the animals.

I would recommend canceling Paradiso 37, a late dinner in DTD with an infant does not sound fun. It is okay to not do everything you always do. :goodvibes

Anyway, it is difficult to know ahead of time how he will do and you can change your plans as needed. If he is a very easy going infant that is a solid stroller napper you know you will have more flexibility than if he is not.

Another thing you want to think about it the attention he'all get. I have 5 kids and some days they where fine, but other times they hated it. He might get fussy being around that many stringers. You might get more responses on the family board.

I think it comes down to how good of a stroller rider/sleeper he is.

At that age, neither of my kids were good stroller riders - they really wanted out so that they could work on crawling. To be really honest, I doubt that you'll be able to do as much as you've planned (but I hope you can!).

I would suggest bringing a front carrier. I took all of my children as infants, DS#2 was a month old his first trip, DS#3 was 9 months and both did very well. The front carrier worked very well in keeping my hands free. The stroller napping was good too. All of my boys loved character meals and the shows, still do as teens.
