But it's both nutritious and delicious! It says so on the microwavable wrapper!

Oh, and pssssst, Froggy isn't a lady. ;)

Now, is that a nice thing to say about him ;) :rotfl2: ? Froggy has displayed nothing but ladylike behavior wherever he goes :teeth: :lmao: .

I unfortunately will be at the office tomorrow where they don't let me DIS :confused3 . Definitely a bunch of party poopers :rotfl2: .

Psst, there's another under the food! The wine bottle holder on the center of the table is on top of a whispering canyon napkin.

Wine glass is on the left because I'm a lefty. LIkewise, the knife is placed that way because that's the way we had it growing up-mine was opposite everyone else's!

Camera battery crapped out, so no Carvel pictures. I had a vanilla cone with chocolate crunchies.

Froggy, that wasn't enough cheese! :teeth: Dude, I didn't know about the teeth, that makes enjoying good stuff all that much harder. No ice here, TMJ hurts with ice.

Is the green gatorade supposed to help your cause? Because it doesn't... :sad2:

Sorry for my ignorance. Please forgive me, Sir Froggy.

So, I will amend my original statement to read:
LISTEN UP LADIES & SIR FROGGY

Thank you for bringing that to my attention T&B.

It's after noon on the east coast...where are the pictures, people? C'mon, do you have a life? :cool1:

I can only hope that everyone is perfecting their presentation for todays lunch. I really need my Rate My Lunch fix.

Well, what I'm really eating for today's lunch is more of the same soup I had from my Crocs on Saturday. I made a big pot of it, and I'll probably eat it at least a couple of more times before it's gone. Nobody needs to see it again - I already know what you all think of my soup.

We are having a rainy, windy day here today, which reminded me of about this time 2 years ago, when Hurrican Ivan blew through my little town and damaged it very badly. My family and I were very blessed not to have any major damage to our house, but we did lose a lot of trees, including one enormous old oak in the back yard which would have taken most of the house with it when it fell, were it not for the fact that it fell the other way. Still rejoicing over the direction of that fall, still mourning the loss of the oak. 5 yards touch our yard, and 3 of the houses attached to those yards were completely destroyed by that storm. We were without power for several days, and we didn't get our landline phone back for 6 weeks.

All of that to say, today, in honor of that time, I am posting a photo of some of the remnants we still have around the house of the military MREs we all ate for about a week after the storm. MREs, mm mm good eating. Here are a few items with my other dog, Rosie, finally sitting still to be a backdrop for them.

What we have here is a beef stick, a slice of something they have the nerve to call "wheat bread", a strawberry "dairyshake" and a cappucino mocha powder. Also included is the little condiment package, containing a packet of Taster's Choice instant coffee, a cute little bottle of Tabasco, some non-dairy creamer, sugar, salt, pepper, a napkin, a moist towelette, and 2 little green chiclets.

Had this been a real MRE, there would have been an entree included, but we ate all of those back then.

So, how do you like my hurricane lunch?

You get a 10 for resourcefulness, a 10 for presentation, but a 3 for tastiness. Yuck!

Total score 7.67.

Hey - I got a new (replacement) tag from this thread. Thanks everyone, and thanks Tag Fairy.

OK...here's mine, rip away :rotfl2: I added the safety glasses because someone mentioned they liked them before

Very resourceful. I would give it a 10 if this were your actual meal, but instead you're reverting back to the yucky soup. Leftover yucky soup gets a 4.

Not bad. You're on the right track. Marking you down 1 point for pizza flavored goldfish, and another point for Coke instead of Diet Coke. And where's the dessert item? That's another point.

Total score is 7.

We have a couple of boxes of these in our apartment, just in case. :guilty:

Makes me think of the men and women out there who HAVE to eat these.

Just checking in. Believe it or not, real life gets in the way sometimes. :rotfl: I had to run a bunch of errands today, so no time for a lunch presentation. It was kind of funny, though, because I ate lunch out, (no, I didn't have my camera with me), and when the waitress set my lunch down in front of me, the first thing I though was- what a great photo this would make! :rotfl2: The french fries were crinklecut and cooked to perfection, and there were SO many of them. It would have been an awesome photo!

Don't get your knickers in a twist. Tomorrow's lunch presentation will be worth the wait. :lmao:
