Rate my lunch

Just checking in. Believe it or not, real life gets in the way sometimes. :rotfl: I had to run a bunch of errands today, so no time for a lunch presentation. It was kind of funny, though, because I ate lunch out, (no, I didn't have my camera with me), and when the waitress set my lunch down in front of me, the first thing I though was- what a great photo this would make! :rotfl2: The french fries were crinklecut and cooked to perfection, and there were SO many of them. It would have been an awesome photo!

Don't get your knickers in a twist. Tomorrow's lunch presentation will be worth the wait. :lmao:
Hmph!! How dare you have a life :snooty:

I will try to start posting my meals here. Lunch will have to be posted at night as I have no way to post them during the day. I will try to make the presentation nice for you all, but please understand that I eat at my desk for lunch and dinner is eaten on the couch. :thumbsup2

And Luvflorida, I thought of you yesterday when I looked at the Target ad and they have pumpkin Peeps on sale this week. :teeth:

Is this where the cool kids are hanging out these days? I FOUND you, Litebrite and Merle!! :magnify:

Litebrite, did you post your lunch today? I didn't see it.

p.s. I did post my lunch today, but only sort of. Go to the bottom of p. 30, and all will be made clear. :rolleyes1

Ok folks, I think we're losing steam here :rotfl2: . Not only did I make a homecooked meal after working today I photographed it to boot so gosh darnit I'm posting it:teeth: . It's southwest chicken chili with cornbread (homemade thank you very much). I looked around for a beer in the frig but I must have used the last to make stew over the weekend. I threw the Kit Kat in at the last minute. Don't want to lose those dessert points :rotfl2: . I have no intention of eating it though - it's a crime to ruin lovely chocolate by adding milk :rotfl: .

Well, I had a drink tonight, so I'll go easy on you... :rotfl: I must deduct a point for the drink...is that plain water without even ice? You're not actually going to eat the pumpkin, are you? :rotfl2: I'll give you a 9--looks tasty!

not bad, not bad....not a fan of southwestern chicken chili but it looks good :thumbsup2 HOWEVER, I am disturbed and somewhat distracted by that white fluffy stuff coming out of the one piece of cornbread :sad2: You get an 8.5.....tuck in the white stuff and I'll give ya a 9 :teeth:

Mmmmmm, now that's what I'm talking about!!

I'm gonna have to deduct a point for that bruise on the pumpkin; you should have turned it around to the back. :sad2: And the KitKat chunky should have just been a regular KitKat....the chocolate to wafer ratio is much more favorable in a regular bar (-1 for that also). The chili and cornbread look scrumptious, though. So overall, I'd give you an 8! Well done, CEDmom!

It needs a bit more color and you forgot the bendy straw so 8.5 from me. Excellent effort. I didn't eat lunch today to post. I swear, I'll try tomorrow.

It's actually my DH's dinner that I took the picture of. He doesn't like ice. Oh, and I wouldn't necessarily put it past him to eat the pumpkin - he's a human garbage can :rotfl2:

The fluffy stuff is Smart Beat margarine - it's very pale yellow. The corn bread was a bit dry (won't use that recipe again  ) so it needed something to make it go down easier :rotfl2: . The dryness didn't stop my DH from finishing that and having more :rotfl: .

You're right about the bruise I grab it at the last minute and didn't notice it. Sorry, but my DH will argue the virtues of the chunky Kit Kat :lmao: . The chili was really good if I do say so myself. Very quick too :teeth: .

Wow, I figured out how to multi-quote all by myself :teeth:

Nice!!! :thumbsup2

The beverage is lacking, though. You at least need some ice in it. Deduct half a point for no ice.

And the pumpkin actually distracts from the presentation, rather than add to it. Or is the pumpkin your vegetable course? Either way I'm deducting half a point.

And I'm wondering about your eating surface. Is that the floor? Interesting.

Total score is 9.0 & that ain't bad. :cheer2:

Alright here is my dinner, please remember I don't sit at the table for dinner, so I used the counter for photographing.

Dinner was a grilled buffalo chicken sandwich, made with leftover chicken, bleu cheese, provolone, Frank's hot sauce, and bacon on whole wheat bread, oven roasted potatoes with ketchup and a Diet Pepsi Jazz- strawberries and cream. Please note the "china" I used, which I took a pic of first so that you could get the full effect. Dessert was a Entennmens Chocolate donut eaten at the computer while I Dis'sed. No bendy straw, I was to hungry to go downstairs and get one.

BM66 - I love the china! It's fabulous! :thumbsup2

I'm not loving the beverage. Diet Pepsi is good, but this is not. Deduct half a pint for lack of non-funky flavored soda.

The ketchup on the potatoes is overkill. Deduct half a point.

Dessert looks good. Definitely need milk to go with it, though.

All in all, pretty good. Total score 9.0. :cool1:
