Rapunzel @ Akershus?

We really enjoy when Mulan and Jasmine are there to change it up. DH is always disappointed when the stick Mary Poppins in since we always have breakfast at 1900 Park Fare.

I felt the same way when we went last time about Mary Poppins. She was there with Mulan and Jasmine. Seeing as how this was our one princess experience that time, I was disappointed. I was hoping for Belle and Ariel, we at least got Cinderella. My daughter was 3 at the time and loved it- but kept asking for her two favorites. Maybe we'll have better luck when we go in December!

I am actually surprised that Tiana doesn't have her own restaurant since that was such an integral part of the plot of her movie. I imagine it would work well at one of the Port Orleans hotels or somewhere in liberty square. Tiana is one of DD's favorite princesses and we would be there in a heartbeat.

oh well, maybe she isn't that popular or maybe they don't have the space for something like that. Shame though.

Also, why is it only Princesses at the restaurants? They should bring in a prince or two. It would be cool if Be Our Guest was a character restaurant with Belle and Beast, and then replace Belle at Askerus with Rapunzel. If she was doing the pictures there would be less chance of anyone wrecking her hair with food. They could add Flynn, so you get a picture with both. That would be fun.

I was just reading all the replies thinking the same - put Belle over at BOG and replace her for the pic at Akerhaus with Rapunzel. Job done no hair in anyones food and all the main princesses covered!!
I'll make sure to tell the dining CM our plans when I call on Saturday to make my ADR's!!

Just chiming in to say that we were at Akershus for dinner on June 4 and Rapunzel was not there. Belle was out front, and Ariel, Snow white, and Aurora were greeting during dinner.

I was there for breakfast on June 9th, and Rapunzel wasn't there either.

Crossing fingers....maybe things are in the works.
Belle moves over to BOG and in comes Rapunzel at Akerhaus.

It would also make sense to have Tiana at Liberty Tree Tavern - they did characters there before, maybe they should give it another try.

It would make sense to have Tiana at Boatwrights or any restaurant for that matter. What about having her at Liberty Tree Tavern, they used to have characters there. If Belle can wear her blue povential outfit at CRT, Tiana could wear a different outfit other than her wedding gown to greet guest and be able to move around a restaurant.

It should be interesting to see if BOG will have characters or not. Has anyone heard anything on this?

Then what about the boys, I can't believe at Cape May they dont' have a pirate breakfast. Or at Hollywood and Vine do a Toy Story meal. My DH would love to have a meal with Jessie and the gang.

I haven't heard of princes being there in a while. I think that stopped around 2010. Prince Charming does still appear at the Happily Ever After dinner at 1900 Park Fare.

ITA!! DD tried beignets only because Tiana makes them, and would like to try real gumbo too (I'm not a big cook, so I lied and told her it's like chili). It boggles my mind why Tiana isn't a more integral part of POR. I don't see us staying there in the near future, but we would go out of our way to eat there if Tiana was a part of their restaurant.

That's too bad -- it's probably been more years than I care to remember since we've been to CRT! We have the cutest video of some hysterical banter between Belle and Prince Charming, and Aladdin was lots of fun as well. It made it extra nice for our DS, who wasn't thrilled with all the princess stuff but was a good sport for his little sister!
