 That is how I feel about Verizon!!!!
Heres the deal and question for you all out there:)
It is JUST me or do any of you have problems with your Verizon Wireless Cell Phone Bill? I seem to have to call about every couple billing cycles about "over-charges" on my account, I sware over the past 2 years I caught about $400.00 TOTAL in over-charges that shouldn't be there or exist!! They are SO wrong and I can't believe they get away with it, I'm very detailed when it comes to my Verizon Cell phone bill and I'll notice time to time that they amount seems "to high" and not what it should be, it ALWAYS usually is! When I confront Verizon and call them they have no problem crediting back my account right away because they know that amount shouldn't be there!

I'm writing this today because yet again TODAY I found another mistake and I'm currently on-hold while the rep. looks at my account. Its soooo grrrrr.. and trust me I wanted to leave Verizon(and well all cell phone companies are like this). BUT unfortunately it sucks: Verizon does have the best coverage area, if I'm going to pay for a service/my cell phone, I need to make sure I can get and make calls with no problems and get all my bars.

Sorry for the rant  Anyone else have this problem or experiencing over-charges.

OMG as I'm typing the rep. comes back on and keeps going in circles, my bill is about $50-75 OVER and she keeps going in circles and can't give me what that amount is for?? Its simple i'm asking her to break down my bill and she won't.. I keep asking her and she keeps asking to put me on hold.. AHHH! HELP! haha.. I HATE Cell phone services!!!!!:scared1:

YIKES, OP! :headache:

I do, as well have Verizon and have from time to time find problems and I call and get it all straightened out. It is annoying. Like you, I am really diligent about the bill. ::yes:: BUT that being said I love my plan. I have "family and friends". We probably make between 8000-10,000 minutes a month in calls between all my family and friends and pay for 1500 minutes. My bill runs $130.00 a month. That is for 3 cells. :thumbsup2 So I will keep Verizon and deal with the problems from time to time.

This might sound silly but what does OP stand for?? Glad to hear I'm not the only one who is annoyed by that.. haha but like you said, I will keep Verizon as well, but it comes with HUGE negatives:mad:

OP stands for "original poster" :)

We have had Verizon wireless for more than 5 years and haven't had any problems with billing. I found that they had a better coverage area than AT&T did back when we switched (we had AT&T 7-8 years ago). Overall, I've been very satisified with Verizon.

DH, on the other hand, is having problems with the brand of phone he upgraded to. It's just recently been replaced and he isn't due for an upgade until next year. But as of yesterday, it's been having problems connecting to the blue tooth. He wants to go back to AT&T only because they have the I-phone and he needs that for work (he's an IT manager) and he can't do that yet.

ETA - I've had Verizon for years and have been very pleased. My only complaint is that they don't have the iPhone (yet!) but when they do I'll be thrilled.

I've had Verizon for 4 + years now and I haven't had any problems. I'm sorry you are running into these issues.:headache:

OP I've had Verizon for about 10 years now...I have NEVER had a problem like yours, not once.....well I shouldn't say never because I've been overcharged, but the rep was able to process a credit immediately! I hope this gets cleared up for you quickly! :)

Honest to God, I was just talking about this with my husband's business partner this morning! We have been in the midst of changing our service with Verizon as we are closing down DH's business and WHAT A FIASCO! Somehow, our bill is actually higher this month...more minutes, more texts, etc.,....the month in which we have had the least amount of business. The least amount of calls. The least amount of phone activity. Yet there are these weird charges. We are looking into it further, but suffice it to say, we spent 2 hours in a Verizon store yesterday, and countless hours on the phone with them, and we're making very little progress. :headache:

Don't bother switching to Sprint/Nextel. Our bill is almost always wrong and never in our favor. Sure they do credit it back without question, but what a pain to call month after month asking for credits for something that should never have been charged! :headache:

I just switched to Verizon and now very concerned. What type of errors are you finding that I may need to be looking for?

OMG! See! lol.. oh wheww im not the only one.. not that this is good.. but im seriously like do I have a curse on my bill? it seriously is becoming SO annoying.. not even manageable to put up with anymore.. once it became a pattern is when I started to get so upset.. because its such a fight .. and they promise to resolve your issue the first time around and they dont I ended up having to call back like 4 times to 4 different people.. i have to explain my situation 4 times.. and its funny for something that I am overcharged $50-75.. I can't get them to explain what those charges are for..
I said ... ill be honest.. im not payin this bill until it comes down to the correct amount that is 100% the amount I owe and nothing more..
its like they have such a hard time xplaining the amount.. and dont get me wrong.. i tried looking at my "detail billing" doesnt help!!

finally though they credit me back for $48.00 for "downloading of media/ringtones"..

get this.. i havent downloaded ringtones in over a YEAR-meaning i downloaded 3 ringtones about a year or so ago.. and paid ONE time and one time only..hmmm! i have my original ringtones.. and NO media..
the rep saw that and said no problem ill credit.. it wont show up to next billing.. IM LIKE HUH!!?? i said no no .. excuse me.. please credit that to THIS bill that is WAY higher than normal.. they kept going in circles that they wouldn't and couldn't do that.. :confused3:confused::mad:

Its still a big problem for them to be fraudulently overcharging you. Once is a mistake, but given the amount of times, they should be reported to the Better Business Bureau.

One of the many reasons I love my t-mobile pre-paid!!!! :goodvibes

Ten cents a minute, period. Ten cents a text, period. No worries about overbilling. Heck, no monthly bill. You just reload when you're low. I hardly use my phone and I reload once a year. I put $100 on my cell last fall and still have $60 left on it, I added $25 to roll the old minutes over for another year. So for 24 months of cell phone use I've paid $125, or $5.21 a month, assuming my current minutes last me until next fall, which I expect they will based on my past usage.

I know it doesn't work for people who use their cells tons. But for those that use it less, multiply out the number of minutes/texts you average per month by 10 cents, and see if it would be the same or less if you switch to prepaid. You may be surprised!

We are in the same boat.

I thiink that we had one problem with our bill years ago, but it wasn't too big of a deal to get it straightened out.

On a few occasions they have called us to let us know thqt they have reviewed our account and that if we make a few changes to our plan then it will save us money. I appreciate that level of service.

We're also waiting (somewhat) patiently for them to get the iPhone.

I have a Verizon bill waiting on the counter to have hours free to try to straighten out. Our last bill was nearly $100 over and everything was credited after 2 hours on the phone and a call to the store where we signed up for the plan.

This time we were hit with premium text messaging, several times. There are ringtone charges on my phone, I have never changed the original tone, and I had signed up with a 21% employer discount, which hasn't shown yet. We are on the 4th cycle. Verizon states I owe over $170, my math shows that they now owe me money. This should be interesting.
