Rant Thread

Why? Because people with a higher post count need to be mroe respected? People need to be treated equally.

Ok people, I'm not trying to make this a debate..I'm just curious.:) I'm also not trying to pick a fight.

Alright. I guess I did not clarify this enough. I meant people who have higher post counts and people who've been on for awhile. Hence, as Shelby said, these people have "proven their spot."

I'm trying to be as nice as I can as I type this, but there are several people who joined in the past month or so who are bashing away at people who have been here longer than me.

I'm ranting about those people.

I just remembed something else. Maybe it's just me, but where ever I go it always seems like this is a huge popularity contest. One person *Who I shall not mention* is a new DIS'er. I have no problem with new DIS'ers, but they seem more popularer than me. Maybe I'm just obsessed with being popular. It seems like people are always in cliques, and sometimes I don't fit anywhere.

When I first joined, I felt pretty little on here. There were people that I looked up to because they literally had 3,000+ posts. I thought I'd never fit in, because a lot of them seemed pretty "close." I didn't realize until about 3 days ago that I have almost the same amout of posts as these people I looked up to.

I think at first, it seems like this place is like high school; a popularity contest, and you need to establish yourself. On the DIS, it seems like you'll never fit in, but as you post more, you get to learn about other posters more, and then they become online friends.

Its kind of like popularity, but more like trying to establish yourself.

I despise it when people ask for opinions or suggestions and shoot down what you say.

I think I have more friends on here than I do on the VMK Board. On the VMK Board (Again, maybe this is just me), but sometimes I think people bash each other too much on the VMK Board. On here, everyone is happy and not much bashing. If that makes any sense.

I don't get mad, I get Glade.

Haha, I seriously don't get mad, I rub it off and add a sarcastic comment, and that's all there is to it. :) The only things that really get me fired up is when they insult me, my property, my religion, and my opinions on abortion and stem cells.

I hate that.
It drives me nuts when someone asks me something and then they'll be like 'I don't care.' or 'Whatever.'.
ooorrr they say it doesn't matter what I say because they are right.

Lemme see...
I'm making a B in English (maybe not upsetting to you, but it is to me).
I need to clean my room.
I have to build a terrerium (sp?) tonight and bring it to school tomorrow.
I need to fold clothes.
I have a ton of homework.
And all of that is stressing me out, majorly.

Plus there's about fifty bajillion (okay...not really, there's only about five) girls at school who are really really two faced and bothering me.

I am absolutey sick of people being mean, and hating people. In the last two weeks 3 people hate me now for a reason that I have no clue. Why am I so hated? What the heck did I ever do to them?! :furious: :confused3

i think girls should just shut their mouth. unless it's something A)respectful or B)helpful which most of the time it isn't.

so unless it's one of those girls should just shut up and not say how much so and so bugs them or what so and so did to someon elese.

just UGHHHH.

GAHHHHHHHHHH!

my friend.
she was going out with this guy who loved her and she "loved" him back.
but my friend and i think she pushed him to fast and he got scared so he backed off and ended the relationship for the time being. he still loved her.
Now my friend, who was supposedly in love, is liking this guy she met 2/3 days ago and it's barely been a week since they've broken up.

yea.

i hope everything turns out ok.
i hate drama.

I have a strict policy on drama. It belongs on a stage.

Ranting...where shall I begin?
I could start with...the girl. You've gotten little snippets of her through the Grease: You're the One that I Want thread. Someday, I'll post the entire story. She's moving at the end of the year, so I'm pretty happy. Whe she does, I'll throw a little online party by making a thread detailing her various crimes against kindness in general. Trust me--you will be entertained, lol. ;)

Enough about her...

IRL, there's something that I can't stand. If I am critical of something or someone, I get shot down. For example, I might say, "So-and-so isn't a very good singer." There are a couple of people I know IRL who will say something like, "No. Stop. Andrew, Can YOU get up on stage and sing? No, I don't think you can, so stop being so critical."
I don't pretend to be a good singer. No one has ever heard me sing, and I have no desire whatsoever for anyone to hear me sing.
It's not MY job to be good at it; it's the SINGER's job. I don't have to be a famous singer to be critical of someone else. It applies to everything...you don't have to be an actor do right a review of a movie. It's soo frustrating IRL and I you can see this on shows like American Idol and Dancing with Stars. People like that are not fun to be around...
Rant over! :teeth:

After some hard thinking, yes it hurt, I found that a few things bother me...

One being the people who use "ain't" all the time. I swear that some people do it because it drives me insane.

When people say, "Won't you ever grow up?" I want to hold on to being a child as long as I can, thank you.

When people get mad at me for being sarcastic. We all have to be known for something, why not being notorius for being sarcastic?

PE class in general. I despise it. I'm not an atletic person, nor do I give a care over who wins the Super Bowl. The best part is the commercials anyway.

People who can't pronouce my last name. It is pronounced the way it is spelled. It's not that hard.

Waiters at restaurants who ask me if I want crayons.

When some people tell me that I should give up on my dreams. So what if I wanna be on American Idol?

Hmm, I guess a lot of things bother me.

I agree, especially with the first five. Maybe one in fifteen people gets my last name on the first try.

One other thing I forgot to mention. If there is one thing I hate more than anything, it's when someone leads you on to believe something when your hopes have no shot at all, and they know it. I speak through personal experience, it's one of the worst things people can do to you. It's so fake, I hate it.

Been there, dealt with that, hate it as well.
I hate drama between people, so stupid.
I am sick of being bored.
I could go on, but I'm to lazy to type.
